Bagwa:
MTN Lost 400B PAT
Huge loss but it only shows MTNN will return to profit making this year because of currency stability and increased tariff.

I also hope it doesn’t end in tears
We are quick to throw our own under the bus.....
The govt of T & T didn't see as we are seeing....
I think the offence Wale committed most was to strike a deal at the peak of Oil boom, after which the market crashed....... It can happen to any company
I sincerely wish OANDO the best this time around.
I guess we can be better off with these positive thinkings and our prayers as well.

I agree. Besides that, I think they got the bid because that refinery was struggling for crude supply also. It was stated as one of the reasons why it was put up for auction. Oando was likely the only bidder with production capacity. I wish them the best

Read more here: https://www.argusmedia.com/en/news-and-insights/latest-market-news/2581052-trinidad-considers-offers-for-shut-oil-refinery

“Trinidad shut the refinery in 2018 after a steady decline in crude production forced increases in imported feedstock, sending up refining costs that the government said were "unsustainable."

“A new owner would likely face similar challenges in obtaining feedstock as the country's crude production has moved from 144,400 b/d in 2005 to average 49,880 b/d in January-March of this year.”

At current price, would you go for zenith or access based on projected dividends n price appreciation, which one do you think will offer better value in the short run.

All comments will be highly appreciated.

You just took those words out of my mouth (or my keyboard)

Anyone suffering from high BP and that does not have a stable, unfettered capital (for investment in Oando) should steer clear of the stocks. It requires some rugged courage and boldness to play in the Oando jungle!
It is ''igbo odaju'' !

It was also mentioned in that report by T&T.
That the significant acquisition of OandO in upstream assets helped tweaked the bid in their favour.

Lol. Niger Delta boys are not the only reason for shortfall in production. Mele Kyari made it look like that is the case but oil wells deplete over time without favourable investments/maintenance. It is capital intensive. Since 2014, production has also declined in several countries due to limited funding and discovery of crude oil in new places as well.

Who dey advice this people sef. If fixed income rate should come down to 18%, the stock market should be high by at least 10%.

Zenith currently has a book value of over N100 and a return on equity of over 30%.

I am expecting a final dividend of at least N4.00 per share in April and an interim dividend of over N1.00 in September

Same here.
I also have some information reaching me that the South African majority holder has an approval to do a rights issue, which is likely to correct the negative equity.

You have no idea what is going on. The only reason Ukraine has lasted this long is because of U.S. backing. It is the U.S. that has been supplying them with weapons, sanctioning Russia, and spreading anti-Russian propaganda through the media. The U.S. was practically doing everything for Ukraine.

Now that U.S. policy has changed, the war is over. It was the U.S. that pushed them into fighting in the first place. Ukraine cannot defeat Russia—just compare the size and resources of both countries.

As I said, very soon, most of the sanctions imposed by the U.S. will be lifted, and Russia will once again be allowed to flood the market with oil. Let’s watch as things unfold.
Nigerialabalaba:
U never get update.

Ukraine no dey fight to win again. Na to dey destroy Russia oil assets to keep oil price high till Trump go leave office.

U go see wetin some anti-Putin Europe countries go do. Dem go dey dash Zelensky drones to dey destroy Russia oil till Trump go leave office or hin head go reset. Na same format Putin use for Biden, abi no be so?
A talk am o. Ukraine no dey fight Russia for battle field again, na Russia oil industry Ukraine dey fight. OsitaBaba no gree.

Ukraine with EU go do spoiler for Trump and Putin for 4 years till democrats go come back. Ukraine don become fly wey perch on top ur blokos, shey u go fit use hammer crush am ni?

Igi pawpaw o ni wo pawa o.

From the current prices of both Banking stocks. I will go for Access bank because there is room for capital appreciation. They can equally do a dividend of N2.00 while Zenith Bank is sure to do nothing less than N3.50, I don't see Zenith Bank appreciating much in price. But, Access can still rally up to N30. They are just in this position because of their stingy nature in paying dividend. But, they have capacity to do better.

Would you now say Zenith bank is a bargain at current price? BV of 0.5 is rightly priced. I won't be surprised to see Zenith at 35 before year end
