ositadima1:You said nothing and beating around the Bush You claimed the revaluation is based on reclassification of asset and used your land as example. Do you reclassify your asset as income and taxed. Do you know what realised and unrealised loss stand for. Are you saying unrealised forex loss can not be reclassified in future What is emotion here and trump issues got to do with financial results. Was it based on emotion you made buy call on ellahlakes and has not made analysis on the results since it came out. I stand with my analysis on sugar results and started buying sugar at IPO and reject what you claim as revaluation .I bought many afolabi units at #6 and averaged up.I have collected dividend for sometimes too....talking of yeye emotion, lol I have never been on loss at sugar even at #30 though I would have made big cash selling at #80 I still told you going forward that the only challenge sugar will have is cost of finance. . I don't need validation from anyone on my investment decisions so anyone opinion is never seen as an attack on the business. Thr is difference btw loss in financial statement and unrealised FOREX loss disclosure in a financial statement .If naira strength to #1300 before payment date. You should expect the unrealised forex loss to reduce and it will increase if naira weakness. It is never over till executed it becomes realised forex loss On a different note, what you think about me as street person makes no difference too me. And you don't have to prove that you are right or wrong in selling your sugar to take up another opportunity in the market. We all rebalance our portfolio for various reasons |

emmanuelewumi:The biological assets could be seen as a subset of the company asset. The biological assets is seen in companies that are into physical farm. This assets value change at different growth stage of the crops The government equally uses it to make valuation sometimes when they want to pay compensation on road construction. The government could decide to pay for only biological assets on the road /buiiding construction without paying for land. I know thr is hiden matter in this question based on my post.So I am waiting for it |

aj8:The banks’ financial dry season is about to end. The wet dividend season is loading. As usual, some banks would want to push approval to after the first quarter, 31st March, to leverage prices on a show of strength in their first quarter results. Keenly watching Wema. Wema needs to show considerable strength in dividends to make the upcoming offers attractive. My new target for Wema is N14.00ish. Should be easy enough if they can pay N0.75 dividend alongside a good show of strength in the first quarter of 2025 to help push their price well over N12.00. This would boost an offer to the public at or around N12.00. |

idealtailor:Can you view live trades? You may have to hold on with purchases for now.....OR, be picking in tranches Quite some sell off in the market, especially with stocks that did Rights Issues and Public Offers.. Market is currently pricing-in the effect of the likely low dividends, should the PO/RI have impact on the dividends..... It will stabilize with time, ahead of release of their results * What you're to do is to keep track of the prices so you can be picking at lower junctions. * If you're already inside, then don't panic sell at loss, you'll just have to wait it out. * Some stocks are still defensive despite the sell off anyway ** This is my opinion** |

ositadima1:like seriously. You did not see the income tax on revaluation. I don't have that time to continue. It was how you argued and still believe that recapitalisation fund raised by banks will be locked up in safe box at cbn volts..lol You have don your analysis on the profit/loss page of the statement and I have done mine. The only problem sugar has going forward is cost on finance. The full backward integration will only be future plus to sugar but cannot stop it from returning back to profit. I am done on sugar. You can talk on ellahlakes as per the results let hear you as per you made buy call thr |

Some stocks are still defensive in market despite the sell offs in banking sector and some other stocks....... OANDO be like: you cannot continue to vent your anger on me every time.....I refused to be on full offer..😊 Surprisingly, Livestock, Ellah Lakes and few others are still on the defensive side........ **Gave in towards COB* ![]() TANTALIZER, SMURFIT on full bid amidst the "red"... UCAP on the defensive side @18/18.30... |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ositadima1(m): 12:22pm On Mar 05, 2025 |
Streetinvestor2:Is that how income tax is reported—on a separate line outside profit from operations? Where is the income tax deducted from, if I may ask? They only confused you to prevent a price crash. If your so-called revaluation was factored in, why is the EPS still negative? And why are we even discussing it? What truly matters is the money generated from operations—Dangote Sugar’s core business—not revaluation gains. As for the banks, I still stand to be corrected. The CBN ordered banks to raise capital as a buffer so they have reserves to stabilize in case of any issues. Common sense should tell you that such funds are not meant for investment; otherwise, it defeats the purpose. |
