Standard Application for my dad 👨 Biometrics: 24/02/2025 Collection Email: 13/03/2025 Picked Up: 14/03/2025 I sponsored my dad even though I live in the US. I included my 6-month bank statement and employment information, family photos, and birth certificate to show the relationship. I wrote a sponsor letter. I specifically mentioned that they shouldn't use my dad's bank statement to evaluate his application since I am his sponsor. For my dad, I included his 3 months of bank statements; he has some lump sum in his account, and he wrote a letter explaining where the money came from. I also included 4 property deeds and picture to one of the property. He also wrote a cover letter and also included reasons why he will return to Nigeria. Note: He has been to the US twice. He has 2 expired US visa. |

CornOak:They have been called out several times on this, but they have refused to change. Some people would say we should be patriotic. Patriotism to some people is when you see Tinubu implementing bad policies and you must refuse to call him out. Patriotism is not calling Air Peace out to fix screen that they have refused to do since March, 2024 when they UK direct flight resumed. Like poor electricity, bad roads etc, Air Peace is showing us they can't manage infrastructure. Pathetic that I have booked already and I know they would never refund me |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by CornOak(m): 2:46pm On Mar 15, 2025 |
davodyguy:Depending on when you plan to travel, the screen issue might have been fixed. Perhaps, you could be lucky to have a seat with a working screen. ![]() Are you flying on the 777-300? |

CornOak:They interchange airplanes that ply that route They either use 5N-BWI Boeing 777-300. This one is the one they bought from Singapore Air and it is 21 years old or Boeing 777-200 which they bought from Emirates, now 26 years old. On their website, the seat map there is 3-4-3 and it is the configuration of Boeing 777-200. So you that used 5N-BWI Boeing 777-300, the seat arrangement is 3-3-3 I even emailed them and they said they don't even know the plane that would be used on my travel date, that they can use either of the two. Challenge is that seat 18 on 777-200 is not same seat 18 on 777-300. On their website map is only for 777-200 This is a big deal Attached image is for Boeing 777-200er which is on their website. You can see Seat 18 which is 3-4-3 per row. But information available now is that the 777-200 is not been active for a while and it's under maintenance. Hence all Nigerians flying with them are now on 777-300 Can't they out that on their website, so you can pick your preferred seat on the actual plane?

@giselle and others Good evening , I think I asked this a while ago but want to ask again as I see different opinions and things may have changed For a case where I’m fully sponsoring a parent that saves most of their money in money market fund , is it okay if they just attach the statement of the money market fund in addition to their regular bank account ? The regular bank account will only have maybe 2 or 3 million naira balance with regular deposits but the money market fund is much more . Or do they need to transfer the money market fund to their regular account ? |

Good day Gurus, I need your inputs please. My wife and daughter applied for UK tourist visa this January but was denied and we were told we cant appeal the decision. I chose to sponsor their trip with my bank statements showing (Salary account: N1,500,000 and savings account $5,000) I earn roughly 1m monthly and have my other funds from my Mother's real estate investments. Reason for Refusal: 1. Address on my bank account is not the same as my current residential address. 2. The visa officer queried why my wife and daughter didn't apply with me when I did mine last year December and why I chose not to travel with them this year since my visa is still valid. Now, I want to her to reapply and we have also updated the addresses on our bank accounts. I have also decided to say I will be following them this time around. Dilemma: My wife earns N220k a monthly but currently has only N5,503 in her account. Does her bank balance matters since I will be the one sponsoring their trip ![]() If I decide to fund her account to show some reasonable figures, hope it won't be flagged? Note: last application that was denied, she had less than N100k in her account but was not part of the reasons for refusal but my worry is that these guys can be funny at times. What do you advise please? ![]() |

davodyguy:Hello @davodyguy and everyone in the house. I have been reading this trend and all the advice. To be honest I am learning a lot. Thank you guys. Please I have a question concerning this statement of account. I would love to apply for a UK visit visa around ending of this year 2025. That is when I will finally return to Nigeria. But at the moment, I am not in Nigeria, I live in a different country. I work, but not official job. So I am paid my salary at hand. Which is upto 1 million naira if exchanged. I do save about 70% as salary income after expenses. So my question is as someone who is returning to Nigeria to apply for this visa. How do I go about with the bank statement that will be presented? I want to apply for the visa same month or the next month I will be returning. Definitely at the moment, there is no means to convince the UK officer on how I receive my salary. Because I received it at hand. And if I am coming back, I will have to withdraw all my savings, exchange them to dollar and come back. So I don't think my current bank account will be necessary to present since I will be leaving the country final. So could you guys kindly advice me on how to go about the bank statement. How do I build this bank statement. I have both dollar and naira account back in Nigeria, but can't make transaction with them or send money to it back here. If I come back, take all the money and put either in my dollar account or naira account, then apply for the visa. Do you think it can be granted? |

I got a mail from vfs Abuja on Friday , the 14 of march that passport has been dispatched but there wasn’t any tracking number provided. I can’t even call to know when my mom’s passport will be delivered. |

Ayodele20484:If you have addressed all the reasons they gave for refusal, you don't need to claim you will travel with them unless there is more money available. Remember that if you claim you are going with them, the your own cost will be factored into the total available funds. Also check the total amount you have available, ensure that it can comfortably take care of flight, accommodation, feeding and enough funds left when they return. |

maziemeka2024:Not following them was one of the reasons the VO gave as his/her reasons for refusing the visa. Secondly was why my wife and daughter didn't apply same time I did last December. Very anyhow people. I am also very much aware of the cost implications of following them. Many thanks for you inputs. Very much appreciated. |

Ayodele20484:Ahn this is serious o. But zenith bank does not carry customer’s house address na. Your gtb sold u out. Cus that carries house address. You should have put the address in ur address history. But cant blame you. No way you would have thought of that |

Ayodele20484:You used them as home ties in December, got your visa, and then, one month later in January- applied for their visas, claiming that you wouldn’t be traveling with them on their application forms now and also then. Eco is most likely concerned and is not stupid- you have acted like you all want to relocate, especially since your wife has a low income. And they applying now even though you claimed earlier a different thing. Have you traveled together as a family before? It would have been easier if this had already happened. Often, the refusal letters state politically correct reasons that can be defended, while the main reasons for refusal aren't explicitly mentioned. Also 1million and 5,000 usd may not necessarily be enough for 3 people to travel and return to. Bottomline, ECO sees them as your home ties- now home ties have come to apply for visa the very next month - japa in waiting.. |
