I wish the military......
I call on the military......

These two statements don't mean same in English or law.It obvious I can beat you in the court room, lol
"You wish the military" is seditious and it's publicly posted for soldiers to read. It is an encouragement and incitement of the military to mutiny and seditious material and a crime. It is extremely irresponsible of you. You have always called yourself a Biafran so I'm not surprised. Pretty soon you will discover that your reckless seditious posts can have consequences.. you are an enemy of the Nigerian state

It's obvious some people just let emotions control their brain, what is the correlation between political crisis in a state and destroying national asset to make a statement, that is unpatriotic behavior. Anybody found doing or supporting that for whatever reason should be killed/jailed.
Because of one yeye local politics some uncivilized tribes felt they can hold the whole country at ransom just because they did not like the man at asovilla.

Yeye people.
IMO, the governor is the biggest beneficiary of this SOE declaration by PBAT—he's been saved from an impending impeachment that would have been impossible for him to vacate in the courts. The Supreme Court's earlier judgment not only referred to him as a despot but also accused him of spending without appropriation, which is an impeachable offense. Hopefully, the era wherein governors directly or covertly support insecurities within their domain for political gains will soon be a thing of the past. This is great for the people, economy, and country, as they now know there will be consequences. As for the suspension, it is subject to legal interpretation, but I do not see how two captains can control one ship, especially when one of them is coming from a military background with actual military powers.

'Significant damage' cannot be fixed in less than 48 hours...

The significant damage might actually be an exaggeration.
If the damage has been fixed then it definitely not a big one.

The dividend will surely be a problem. Anything below N6 for GTCO and ZENITH will be bashed
In as much as I do not like Access bank dividend ratio, I think they have mantained a steady rise in yearly dividends for over five years now. The only issue that may affect their dividend growth this year should be the new shares issued.
See thier recent dividend history.

So you have not realized that the whole of Nigeria is an emotional entity? Every section, ethnic group, religious group etc. has become emotional because of allegations, suspicions or perception of injustice, marginalization, oppression, disenfranchisement etc. whether real or imaginary.
Therefore every leader, governor or president must be sensitive to these things and learn from history the best way to make the country live in peace. Late President Yar'dua tried to do that and he gave us some peace for about 15 years or more.
What you call ''local politics'' can have far reaching consequences for a nation e.g. the crisis in the old western region is what led to the collapse of the first republic, and then the Military rule that eventually led to the unfortunate civil war.
The second republic was also truncated because of what you call ''local politics'' and the violence in South western states like Ondo, Oyo etc.
A stitch in time saves nine! Better to find a peaceful way to address that ''local politics'' than allow it to degenerate further!

Saw this somewhere (yet to verify) but if true then thank God. My Aradel can breathe 😆
The funniest thing is that online people, who are comfortably sitting in their living room always makes every situation looks as if the country or even the market is collapsing when something happens.
They always rely on what media is saying, coupled with their imagination and political bias to start typing rubb.ish.....thereby causing unnecessary panic for investors.
No thanks to social media.

Is Tinubu the only sitting president to declare state of emergency?
Is it outside the rule of law or not applicable to democratic president?

Once again, can we return this thread to stock related discussions while you take your political discussions to politics section.

So it means two wrongs can now make a right?
Destroying national assets is what will bring peace ?

Just think about this analogy, we are neighbors, we now have issues, instead f us to find a way to resolve, I went to go and destroy the transformer that is giving us light.. can you establish a correlation in my acts. Will you blame or the government.

What the $enseless people don't know is, it's the citizen that will suffer the consequences of those useless actions that stup!d people are defending.

People are destroying national assets n the chief security officer of the state did nothing to curtailed them and the chief security of the country now act to restore the peace only for unpatriotic people to start wailing, my question is, d you want the president to allow the madness t continue?

I believed what we should look at is, as the SOE stopped the bombing f national assets, if yes, let it continue.

No patriotic citizen will allow his/her country get destabilize because he/she is supporting one useless politician or he/she doesn't like the president.

I am not saying that destroying national assets is right. I am saying the president should have been more proactive to call the parties to order, especially Wike who is a direct appointee of the president!
If 2 people want to fight and destroy my place, I will talk to both but my power will be used more on the person that is under my direct control. We saw what the president did in the case of Lagos state. Anyone that misbehaved afterwards would have been dealt with.
It is sacrilegious for a minister under the president to be fomenting trouble and destabilizing a state and the president allows it. The only reason a president could allow that is either cluelessness or complicity, or both.
Wike is using his position in govt as leverage to do what he is doing and it is causing problems for the federal govt. if the president allows it, then he has to be blamed for it. Simple.
Wike would not be able to do what he is doing if he is not a minister in the federal govt.

Take note of the following before engaging a fund manager/stockbroker for any service

check the name using this link https://sec.gov.ng/cmos/

If the name is not displayed after the search, don't engage them,
regardless of the promised rate or services.
If the name appears, even if it's a new firm or not popular, it's legit.

For mutual funds, be sure to confirm if the following parties are
present for the fund you wish to invest in:

- the fund manager
- custodian bank
- trustees
- SEC

Note that having an app or being popular is not a criterion for knowing a legitimate firm.

Let's be well-guided.

God bless you my brother!
The president was enjoying the confusion that Wike was causing in PDP, forgetting that Niger Delta is very volatile and this kind of problem could degenerate into something bigger that could affect the peace of the area as well as serious impact on the economy.
I was shocked to see/hear Wike, a sitting minister appointee of the president say something like ''If you blow oil pipelines, I will blow up the whole of Nigeria.......'' and the president kept quiet, looking on without any serious statement to caution or dissociate his govt from that kind of reckless statement.
Violence is not good, so nobody should be allowed to provoke violence in the Niger Delta.
Late President Yar'Dua and other stakeholders laboured and compromised a lot to give us peace in that region so a power drunk person like Wike should not be allowed to ignite the flames just because of his greed and hunger for power.
Now, all our investments and stocks in the oil and gas sector are at risk now grin grin grin grin grin( Aradel, Seplat, Conoil, Mobil, Oando, etc)
Bros no worry about una investment it is just for a while.......with the information I got this morning,I think this crisis will end in a short run. Fubara nor play hin card at all,the man is not a politician.

Blowing pipeline nor be new thing, infact settlement don start sef. I know more than 15b go drop then everything go normal again. Nigeria na funny place.

I am a Nigerian you shameless secessionist trying to be clever by half!
Ndigbo is the similar term for Arewa or Omo Oduduwa.. not Biafra

p.s. if you want to agitate for your own country peacefully I have no issues but seeking an unconstitutional (military) regime change in Nigeria is most reprehensible

This is exactly why people always caution to restrict discourse here to the motive of the thread. There is no way people will engage in political or religious debates without getting emotional. it is what it is.

This how the elected leaders whr doing all kind of unconstitutional things till young military officers decided to take the bull by the horn in 3 west African nation. And you say we should keep quiet because you believe one of yours is in power.
Go ask the citizens of those countries today thr verdict on the present leadership. If your actions and inaction truncate the present democracy don't blame anyone and claim someone called for it.
Democracy can only stand when you respect the constitution and obey the rule of law.
