KarlTom:Who are the agencies and regulators. When they know because of corruption even if you report nothing will come out of it.When the head becomes too rotten it affects the remaining part of the body. Then the next alternative if you want redress is the court. You want to go waste your time when the place is now for highest bidder. Do you realise that before now if you write this companies and copy sec.You get response and possible result. Now dey no dey even see your mails even if you copy any regulatory body |

Streetinvestor2:@Oga Street, if you have at least 200 million and it is not generating 4.5 million monthly, then you need to revisit your investments. Here’s a very basic analysis: 100 million in risk-free investments like treasury bills or bonds at 18.5%, and the other 100 million—if managed with long experience in this market—should ideally double the 18.5% annually. This can be calculated as: 100,000,000 × (18.5% × 2 ÷ 12 + 18.5% ÷ 12). This amount is roughly equivalent to what a contract staff currently working for Aradel as an EPC engineer earns. (a friend doing something similar in Angola earns 14 million monthly in naira conversion) |

ositadima1:This is what I discovered since last Yr and making me rebalance my portfolio. If I say what I am getting from my 6 portfolio with 3 brokers you go say I'm not serious. I was never looking at it because I have active businesses that pay all my bills. Not trying to brag but 200M in stock market for over 20yr participation nobi money.I may likely put all wapco money when it comes through in fixed investment. I remember asking oga Emma what you should be good as dividend in your investment portfolio and you make it up from capital appreciation. Which he gave a range. The cash flow from my investment all this yrs has really been poor though with good capital appreciation |

Over diversification could be a problem from the equity front. You may invest 100m in equity and not get 2m monthly. You need a lot of concentration, focus and a bit of luck as well plus moderate risk tolerance. Remember, we are talking about the sustainability here..when the money becomes bigger, the challenges becomes bigger. Seriously it's a very pessimistic analysis by osita, very achievable.. |

crownprince2017:Una dey try o. How do you talk about monthly earnings in stocks? I would rather do annual and split it monthly in my head. |

Agbalowomeri:Agba i be old school like you. I have a book i list out all my dividends and at the end of the year i can know what i realized from my investment for the year and it is always higher than the previous year because i always increase my holdings particularly on stocks that paid me good dividends. I guess i will also start checking the amount invested and minus it from the current price at the end of the year to factor in the capital appreciation. This is business and one must put some seriousness in it. Without checking if one is making profit or loss one will just be buying stocks for the fun of it. I will evaluate my portfolio to know whether to just be a trader is better. 30- 40% gain, i exit and find another promising stocks to enter. Being a long term is not actually paying me. I really need to work out a new strategy and see how i will improve on my earnings. ![]() |

nosa2:I guess all scenarios are possible depending on the stock. If it is betaglass for example, you go pay plenty premium Lol If na dead company, people would be looking to leave so cheaper |

jonnysessy:Long-term should probably mean 10 years and above. On the long run, it should beat trading if investment is in good growth companies |

Princkez:This is very impressive. No wonder it gained N2.00k on Friday ( I guess some people were already privy to the result). With this result, expect the Banking Sector to be on fire today. Even Access will move northwards today. If Zenith and GTCO no declare N5.00, then they are over-hyped. This is a good one from UBA. I never expected anything less since they were bold to pay N2.00 for interim dividend. ![]() |

I was worried about their massive outstanding shares but Uba has proven something. But I still de fear some banks without revenue sources like uba |
