Concerning VFDGROUP, the report being referred to concerning no dividend and 4:1 bonus issue was actually for 2023 FYE...
This report was one of the director's report, which I think it was a kind of error on his part......

** We may have to wait and see if there'll be Corporate Action on 2024 FYE.

I expect the Company to clarify this, OR, simply release a corporate Action if there's any.

Are you expecting dividend from first bank? You can be sure that people have seen it and it's not looking good

The 4-for-1 bonus was issued in June 2024 so it should reflect in FY 2024 report...

The Rights have been listed, and I guess people who bought at N25 are taking profit.
The Unaudited and the Audited may not have much difference and if at all then it should be improved Audited.

You're right.
It was issued in June 2024 and has since been credited to individual's CSCS.
Some who so wish, have even sold it off

* However, it was actually for 2023 Financial Year End.
* The company explained that it was an error of omission on the part of NGX (or maybe the Company, can't remember now).
* When 2023 FYE report was submitted for approval and uploading, it was omitted, more reason it came much later after filing and uploading the 2023 FYR.

** Note the period ended

** So, for 2024 Financial Year End, let's wait and see if any declaration will be made

*Updated**
A declaration was made!!
N2.50k dividend and 5:1 bonus issue was declared for 2024 FYE!! cool
Corporate Action released on 4/4/2025 by NGX.

Probably the effect of the allotment of the RI shares. Some maybe selling. If so, there maybe a support at the RI price of N25.

This one wey Eps drop by almost 100%!!! undecided.
If them come add new shares nko?
Make them try buckle up biko..
They have added the new shares. They had 100% dilution from 19.8 to 39.6 billion shares listed.

They reported paying windfall tax of N17.7 billion. I have not observed any other bank state their windfall tax on the income statement, perhaps its hidden in the notes or deferred.

Thank you sir.

I want to understand the bolded (that you use which one is higher of the 2 metrics)

Lets use zenith for example

EPS is N32 (32 X 4 = N96)
Div is N5 (N5 X 10 = N50)

Since is N96 is higher, does it mean any price below N96 is what you consider?
Yes. But not any price below, but any price way below. The aim is to sell at those prices having keyed in much lower, having taken an earlier front-row seat in the stock holding only if the metrics change positively to a higher valuation in future earnings. But please note. My use of the term “way below”. For the above example, I would also apply a 75% penalty ( N72.00) on my calculation based on EPS since the market considers N5.00 poor. The lower your entry price, the better your possible gain. The above are valuations. So aim at buying at a huge discount. Let's consider for instance that Zenith pays 2025 interim of N2.00, the market would be right to expect a final of N5.00 or a total of N7 at year-end which should drive prices above N80 before year-end. And, anything higher than N7? Yes …..your guess is as good as mine.

🇺🇸 $2.85 trillion wiped out from the US stock market today.

I wonder how many stocks per year on average, do you get chance to enter based on this entry strategy?
Fewer. But who says you can't place Nmillions on a few promising stocks? Just remember to rebalance once you hit the target unless current released earnings show continued positive metrics and hence reasons to hold to a higher price or for dividends ( if such historically exist ). You can check my earlier posts. Greed is the only enemy. I learnt a few lessons after the last market crash.

That is the process to follow. For anyone who passes without a written WILL, you will need a letter of administration to claim anything that belongs to the deceased.

So your strategy qualifies you to buy GTCO at 70? Would you? grin
No sir.

If you had read the tea leaves at Q1, you would have entered below N30 and now preparing to sell at 69 or hold for dividends sir. I know you are a very busy gentleman but I urge you to review my earlier posts you may pick up a thing or two.The mind is like a parachute, it works better when open.

What I am saying is that GTCo as at today still qualifies using your criteria or do you only apply the criteria in Q1? It's just an academic exercise though

Dumb as your moniker sounds!
Dum20:
With all your high IQ, the best you can do is to be spamming an investement thread for days now just to prove what? You are among the top people in the US and you have time to be arguing like a woman in an investment group.

Carry that your high IQ and enter studio with Davido lets see what it will translate to or enter pitch with Osimehm, let us see how well you will perform.

You have a doctorate degree, you are in the US and here arguing like a child to prove that you are right. Arguing with people of low IQ.

You high IQ tells you that you can change the low IQ to high IQ?

In your world people like Sabinus will die of hunger and would not be worthy to be in your presence.

I typically use expected/projected dividend of 15% especially in a market crash. It's hard to project dividends with this current devaluation and Forex wahala

I saw this opinion printed in an Indian media. What do you think if it happens?

"Rather than bringing manufacturing back to the US, global firms may just relocate to low-tariff nations, possibly in Africa."
