Hi everyone, I don't know if this is the right platform to drop this but I need some advise on Visa renewal. My US Visa expires in may and I am currently in the US, is it possible to do a drop box in Nigeria to renew my visa since it hasn't expired yet?. Pls advise.
hahahahhaha, all shades of wrong and illegal...fastest way to get ur visa revoked, passport seized or dropbox denied and they call u in for face to face interview.....of which u cant attend, cos of&&%%$$$##@@.

no version of this your caper ends well for you.....unless be ready to get denied subsequently..try not to stay more than 2months in the USA in 1 trip...unless for serious/medical reasons and you hv evidence to back it up

If you try this, they will invite you to in person interview. They know when you leave the US and when you enter. Don't get into trouble. You're a visitor. Visit and go home

Have you tried govt agencies?
Not sure where you're based but consider councils, city or state agencies. Even in other states if need be.

The poster did H1b interview in Lagos you can read or ask him directly.

For distance lanham to Baltimore, Google.
Just know America is BIG, so distance depends really on what part of the city you're in and if the route has high traffic times

Pls I need update on likely questions to asked for H1b interview.
Name and location of the company/ organization that you will work with.
Your anticipated role and job title with said company/organization and name of your supervisor/HR contact
Go with your educational degrees and/or licenses.
If the job requires a US licensing examination, go with proof that you have passed the necessary exam(s)
How did you hear/learn about the job and the interview process
Future professional plans
Employment contract/offer letter
Previous job and work experience
Know how much your annual income will be
Previous US travel history
I797 approval receipt and other docs that the company sent to you eg LCA if applicable

Although H1B visa is a dual-intent visa, you may still be required to demonstrate home ties to Nigeria so be prepared for that.

Let me share what I experienced working with govt if this helps.

Everyweek someone iis sharing resumes of prospective interns and jobseekers with other employees via group emails for specific collabotations.

Secondly utilise LinkedIn ..reach out to contacts and networks in your field and market yourself for internship opportunities directly via messages or comments. You might get good leads

Please if you chose Abuja for interview and chose free delivery to the DHL Lagos office, and got the visa, is it possible to have your passport delivered to Lagos after it's visa stamping? If yes what are the steps.

Sure
But note there can be increased scrutiny at port of entry so just be ready in case you are asked why initial plans changed.
