A nice thread, I tried reading the first 5-6 pages and the last 5 pages as well... nice contributions here. I just got a 325i 2004 model Being a car dealer, so I buy 9ja used cars, fix and resell. After selling of my MB some months ago I've not really enjoyed driving other Japanese cars I've been driving, I didn't think twice b4 paying for this BMW when I saw it just for the love for German machins. My challenge now is technical. For MB I can navigate my way easily, but for BMW I actually don't have any idea on where to get a good and trusted mechanics, rewire, and AC tech to handle repairs without a single guess on its issues. I will be using this car for a long while after fixing it b4 selling it off. My MB mechanic is good and the car has just minor mechanical works like, one of the abs is disconnected so the odometer doesn't read, the gear doesn't select well. But I'm looking at having a bwm specialist to to handle it, especially the electrical. If you have a good rewire within the mainland or know of a place where bwm technicians are clustered around, I just drive there and get everything fix. Pls drop address or contacts or description. Lagos mainland |

E90 owners, please can you kindly recommend the best engine oil to use. I have been using Hardex but I find myself needing oil replacement within 3weeks. I have no idea if the hardex oil breaks down faster. But I need to change to another oil first and observe if the replacement frequency will be the same. Also, I don't drive the car around much so mileage isn't the issue. I have a 325i 2006 |

| Re: BMW Owners' Forum by dru23(m): 2:21am On Apr 08, 2025 |
invigilator:Keep in mind , there more fake engine oil more than ever before. So this might be the reason why the oil is drying faster than usual.... You are driving a European car it deserves better oil than that hardex you are using. If you look at the oil cap of the car. It will be likely 5w30....... But for most European cars 5w30, 5w40, 0w40 are often recommended. But you have to read the owner manual of the car to get more information.... My advice go for the Mobil 1 5w40 . The 5w40 from Mobil 1 is formulated for European vehicles. And since your vehicle is an older car . You will need Better oil weight for better protection. 5w40 I have new stock of Mobil 1 from the USA coming this month, you can wait than Reach me at dru23@hotmail.com

Hello everyone and good morning! I’m currently considering the BMW 530i 2006 as my side ride and would love to hear from anyone who has owned or driven one. If you have any experience with this car … positive or negative …. please feel free to share how dependable it has been for you? I plan to use it for heavy driving. I need something that can handle possibly demanding use without constantly breaking down or draining my wallet on repairs. So Your feedback will go a long way in helping me make a well informed decision. Thanks in advance, and may God bless you all! |

Hi Guys, I just got an e90 325i (2005) toks, European spec. I live in Abuja and I am in need of a proper technician to work on it for me. The search is tough for capable hands. I wish I was living in Lagos because I didn't expect this type of wahala finding a good technician for the car in Abuja. Someone that is reasonably priced too. Thank you. |

To me it's BM or no car. I drives BM E46 2004,truth be told this is machine. The car didn't give me any issues aside the fuel gauge that reads inaccurately, my tech man suggested we change the fuel guage and metre which we did but the issues persist. BMW is nothing but a machine |
