I don't want to go to Lagos again because of what I read here.. seems there's no opportunity for me there as I don't have B.sc certificate I have already started planning my Ghana journey. I'll be submitting my CV for filling station work tommorow. once I start work and save like 100k to 200k (30 or 40k will be for transport), I'll travel to Lagos, and move from there. I believe before 1 month time in Ghana, I'll get job or start doing menial works there.. (I'm okay with it as long as I have left my region and no longer in Nigeria) How much (the lowest) should I budget for feeding and accomodation for the first one month? |

There are no jobs in Ghana. The only thing good there is steady light and safer environment. |

There are 36 states in Nigeria, Port Harcourt is like another country on it own with Lagos kind of industrialization and abuja calmness. You people should stop looking for greener pastures in countries that are not up to Nigeria interms of economy. You can become any thing here. If your state is not working for you, try other states or cities , it's like traveling to another country too. There is Abuja, Warri, Benin, Jos, Lagos, Anambra , Kano/Kaduna is my next travel plan , there's a lot going on in that state. If you eventually make it in Ghana , the major reason why you make it there is because no one know you in Ghana and you can afford to do any work to survive. If you try that in other Nigerian states, believe me you will make more money than you would in Ghana |

Goodadvice01:I have travelled to most west African countries and i will be very honest with you⚠️ West African countries like benin, togo, ghana, ivory coast, Senegal and so on are just like Nigeria bro. But, they're slightly better than us in terms of steady light, good road and good water, security, even their currencies are higher than naira now. Apart from all these i mentioned above, nothing else again.... they still have job scarcity like Nigeria, corruption like Nigeria, and all other vises Nigeria has. However if you decide to move to ghana, don't expect your life to improve that much like someone that travelled to the UK or Canada... nah the same thing you see for Nigeria you go see there. But you can go there, hustle small and move to another better country. Like they say, a journey of a thousand miles begin with a step. You can meet your helper there. Please go there if you don't have any other option, it's still better than staying in a hopeless country like Nigeria⚠️ |

koladata:No state in Nigeria is better than the other mr man, Nigeria as a country is only programmed for the rich and ruling class, while poor Nigerians are too dumb to figure this out or even unite themselves to make a change⚠️ So if you're broke in lagos, and you go to abuja you will suddenly have money or connections to make money abi?? Yet you wonder why you're still broke Lol |

Goodadvice01:It is not always greener at the other side. Nigeria economy is bad but it is not as bad as most Nigerians paint it until you visit some African countries. Your adventure will be riddled with regrets when you discover that where you are coming from is better than your destination. Only few African countries have a better economy than Nigeria and Ghana is not among them. I will advise you to stay put, save and start and start a small business like a POS cash point,I believe you will grow with time,so far you have a business mindset. Don't waste your time and money embarking on a wasteful adventure. |

Oga, before you travel to Ghana, how much do you have with you? So with all the states in Nigeria, it is Ghana you're thinking of. A country where some universities there are like some nigerian secondary schools. Ok, they have steady light and water, but do you know how much they pay for the basic amenities when you convert their currency to nigerian naira. with their good roads(there are still many bad roads), accidents still happen there. Well, having been to the west african countries(Ghana, benin republic, togo)Nigeria is still the best west african country. In infrastructure, job, etc. They pay rent monthly but do you know what they pay monthly is what some people pay yearly in some suburban states in Nigeria. Dey play. Many nigerians don't pay for water if they have a borehole. The irony is that even though their currency is higher, what you'll get there is practically the same amount or value you get for goods and services here in Nigeria. So you're practically losing your money being there. Another thing is the language. Yes, Ghana is an english speaking country but just as most people communicate in pidgin here and still mix their local languages. It is the same in Ghana. If you're thinking of being away from family and friends, that may be a good reason but there are so many nigerians in Ghana that you may not really feel you're in another country. Regardless, moving to Ghana should depend on your purpose and budget. You should have enough money for travel, accommodation, living expenses before getting a job or starting a business, else you'll join the train of nigerians living hand to mouth and robbing Ghanaians. You say you want to save 200k to relocate. 100k may not even take you to Ghana. |

Goodadvice01:How much will you be getting as salary from fuel attendant? Or you mean petrol station manager. For this second option you can quickly save up. But if it's the first option it will take you appropriately 6months to a year to save that your 100k. Learn a skill B4 going to Ghana. Example learning how to sew senator Or learn modern furniture and upholstery making If you are serious it can be learnt in 6months or less. When you travel to Ghana attached to someone first ( tailoring shop or furniture shop) and aim at getting your own business up and running in next 6months. |

joinnow:It's pump attendant. Basic salary is 50k. The distance is trekable from my house.. I won't be spending on transport. Morning shift is 6:30 to 1. Afternoon is 1 to 8 It will give me time to try out some other online hustle If I work for six months it's okay.. |

Scentsationar:The real advise I will give you is to save up to 100k, resign from that fuel attendant job and learn a handwork from an expert. 1 year is enough to be good and skilled at any craft except for some few ones. The grass is greener where you water the ground Kiddo |
