Ah, that explains. I also just confirmed with NGX, turns out the API I’m connected to doesn’t account for dividend markdown adjustments in price.

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc recently released its full year 2024 audited financial statements, showing sustained improvement across all the major performance indicators – Profit Before Tax (PBT) of N804 billion and an impressive 68.39 per cent growth in Group Shareholders’ Funds to close at N3.42 trillion.

Does the bamboo app inflate average cost?

I recently got some Oando shares at @37/36. I have never bought above @41 looking at my app I'm seeing that my average cost is 48.28. has anyone experienced the same thing on the bamboo app or there is something I'm not doing right as I'm new to all these.

Though, I do not use the same app. But, I believe the commission of your brokers were factored in your cost price. Hence, the increase in your average cost.

I bought at N37.80 and N41.60. My dashboard is showing me average cost of N48.2. I hope my maths is wrong cos from my calculations it is no where close, even if I multiply with total shares. Commissions should be taken separately but that might be a factor

Its likely some of your trades were executed at higher price than you limit. I don't think charges alone should make the average cost bump to 48

After further checks with NGX, I can confirm that the data displayed on StockBubbles is accurate. ✅

The API feeds directly from the same database as the trading engine.
Once prices are adjusted for dividend markdowns at the exchange level, it reflects across the board automatically.

For example with GTCO:
Opening Price: ₦59.95
Closing Price: ₦59.00
Change: -₦0.95
% Change: -1.58%

In summary, the prices and percentage changes you see on StockBubbles are correct based on how the market officially adjusts for corporate actions.
