toyeoye:It is as a result of mark down. Ex-dividend price + daily downside movement |

toyeoye:Don't mind the yeye people. They forgot that those companies did mark down today as per dividend qualifications yesterday |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by toyeoye(m): 4:18pm On Apr 16, 2025 |
ndept:Ah, that explains. I also just confirmed with NGX, turns out the API I’m connected to doesn’t account for dividend markdown adjustments in price. Really appreciate the feedback, helps improve the build. 🙏🏽 |

Does the bamboo app inflate average cost? I recently got some Oando shares at @37/36. I have never bought above @41 looking at my app I'm seeing that my average cost is 48.28. has anyone experienced the same thing on the bamboo app or there is something I'm not doing right as I'm new to all these. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by jonnysessy(m): 9:30pm On Apr 16, 2025 |
Erniemax101:Though, I do not use the same app. But, I believe the commission of your brokers were factored in your cost price. Hence, the increase in your average cost. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Erniemax101: 9:41pm On Apr 16, 2025 |
jonnysessy:I bought at N37.80 and N41.60. My dashboard is showing me average cost of N48.2. I hope my maths is wrong cos from my calculations it is no where close, even if I multiply with total shares. Commissions should be taken separately but that might be a factor |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ojeysky(m): 9:50pm On Apr 16, 2025 |
Erniemax101:Its likely some of your trades were executed at higher price than you limit. I don't think charges alone should make the average cost bump to 48 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Erniemax101: 10:11pm On Apr 16, 2025 |
ojeysky:I did not put any limit, the cost price was the SMS confirmation alert I got from. X-Alert: CSCS-NSE Trade. No way my cost average should be that high, I'm waiting on their reply tho, was sharing to see if someone else has experienced the same thing on bamboo |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by jonnysessy(m): 7:54am On Apr 17, 2025 |
Omexonomy:It is very simple. UBA simply want you to save your 2024 dividend in a beautiful interest rate and help you invest it in their company (UBA) to help actualize their recapitalization exercise. ![]() |

toyeoye:Good day everyone, just to update: After further checks with NGX, I can confirm that the data displayed on StockBubbles is accurate. ✅ The API feeds directly from the same database as the trading engine. Once prices are adjusted for dividend markdowns at the exchange level, it reflects across the board automatically. For example with GTCO: Opening Price: ₦59.95 Closing Price: ₦59.00 Change: -₦0.95 % Change: -1.58% In summary, the prices and percentage changes you see on StockBubbles are correct based on how the market officially adjusts for corporate actions. Thanks again to everyone providing feedback, it really helps us build better! 🙏🏽 Wishing you all green bubbles today.
