While serial killers often have serious childhood trauma, they are predominantly white. Also most of them are attractive. Also if I recall above average intelligence. Capable of putting their victims at ease with before they strike.

I watched the series on Netflix. One of the killers was black and since their assumption was that the killer must be white, it took them longer to get him.

The killers in the series were anything but attractive and certainly not above intelligent or even charming.

All of them suffered childhood trauma and had a troubled relationship with their mothers.
