Their EPS doesn’t work straight line like that Q1 for last year was N5.1, which is N20.4 annualized. They made an EPS of N59 for last year. My forecast for this year is an EPS of N75-80. I won’t mind seeing it at 350 though to load more emmaodet: |

sterlingD:Revenue up to 199.9b from 101.2b... roughly 100% increase. Cost of sales swallowed up any gain to 120.98b from 38.5b. whooping 200% Gross profit 78.9b compared to 62.7b generated from previous year quarter from 101.2b. Gross margin - 39.5% down from last 62%. Aradel used 61% of revenue generated as cost of sale while previous was 38%. |

Sunrisepebble:Plus, Renaissance deal was signed last month, so we should see the effect from Q2. I don't mind the price coming down for more loading though Na Nahco and Aradel get my money this year, last year was Presco, Zenith and Nahco. Intentionality and consistency na baba |

Heishere:I don't expect any tangible appreciation in ucap. Forecasted annualized eps of #1.31 is just #13 per share at pe 10. Adding dividends, it should rove around #15-18 this year |

The wave of uncertainty around ARADEL will soon subside. From the Q1 results, they did well. The onboarding of the Olo Marginal Fields. Marginal fields accounted for the increase in output. I can only imagine the impact of the Shell assets... Every mallam to his kettle emmaodet: |

emmaodet:I think new acquisitions, JV/merger deals, oil finds etc usually come with some huge intial costs, onboarding expenses etc which are better recognised and charged to the income statement immediately after a deal is consumated, i.e. obeying the principle of Prudence. I think this Aradel performance may be similar to how/why Oando reported a loss in Q4 2024 after the acquisition of ENI/NOAC, as some costs need to be fully written off instead of carrying fictitious balances in the books. |

Transcorp Hotel Q1. With eps of 49k in Q1, annualized to #2. Price should roam between #8 - #13 but I am shocked it is trading at #145. Who are those buying at that price?

IB Q1. A 148% increase in PAT looks good after paying off a substantial part of their debts. I don't know if they will be able to increase their bottom line by atleast 50% going forward per quarter

Livestock will shell out most of the gains in price they have made for the past 2 quarters. Though I expect them to declare a better result due to cheaper inputs like feeds and feed ingredients been cheap between September to February since they would have stocked then to use in Q1. I don't expect anything optimistic in Q2. Eps of 1.27k annualized to 6k per year is worrisome. This stock may start shedding weight back to her previous 2-3 naira zone

Cadbury result is impressive. I see her in 80-100 naira zone if she continues with this impressive result in Q2. Current market price is #29.2. This is a good stock to position at. A 5m in Cadbury now MAY likely give 20m by December. Do your due diligence. Have not done compressive analysis. Just using the summary to quickly do my findings.

MARKET UPDATE 29 April- NIGERIA MARKET UPDATE WITH SOME GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE From global perspective, it is going to be an uphill task for oil to return back to the $75 dollar range and with Trump Tariff likely to reset prices of many items (the global economy may face some headwind). But let us make it a case of we will cross the bridge when we get there, so we should not worry. Let us enjoy the current bullish run. In the Caucus, we are taking a very brutal approach, focus only on best few stocks in the market. Our major pick this morning is a stock that is likely to find it easy to cost without much sweat and sorry we do not want to buy at high, so if market pulls back today it is game for us Looking at the indices performance, Consumer goods still led, followed by Meristem Growth and banking. Somehow, I like the content of the meristem growth stocks at the moment, a lot of the stocks currently making gains are there. Let us have a nice day.

yMcy56:For Dangcement Q1 eps = #12.3 with estimated FY25 to be #48 The eps grows by 84% to previous quarter, we can expect a conservative 20% increase in FY eps thereby making it #58 instead of 48, implied FY25 price should be around #700 factoring in dividends. MP = #432 FVE = #700 |

Insurance stocks are no no for now. Just take a look at veritas Q1 result. Its time for a pullback in the sector. This is the time for consumer goods especially the foods and breweries. Also companies that render services to those consumer good companies.ABC TRANS is one of them. This is a time of BUY for them oooo. Some of them like NB,Cadbury,Unilever etc will trade above #80 this year. Know this and enjoy the ride |
