My concern with stocks like betaglass and vitafoam is the business itself.
Vitafoam is not your everyday consumption. You buy it once and for the next 10 years, you may not need another one coupled with the fact that there are many competitors I. The market.
So the earnings may not be consistent.
For Betaglass, the long term sustainability is shaky because government is forcing companies to be switching away from bottles.
I am even surprised that they made grate sales in Q1/25.
Not only did they sell a lot of what they produced, their inventory went down alot which is impressive.
Wondered what happened between January and March to warrant that since it is not festive period when people drink a lot.
But what is obvious is their operating leverage.
Since management and companies have little to none control over cost of goods affecting gross margins, the bulk of reducing operating expenses lies on good management of a company which they have proved.
That is a good management there
Their Biggest Cutomers is NB, it is likely that NB stockpiled packaging inventory in Q1.

I don't think you'll be qualified.
Also, check your CSCS statement to confirm if it's there.
If you see it in your CSCS statement, you can forward it to your broker to add it to your trading portfolio.
Thanks for the response; I appreciate.

On the SUGAR - RICE - NASCON merger talks

“The merger between SUGAR and RICE and NASCON is currently on hold. More importantly because a few things need to be done by SUGAR and also RICE. So, we are waiting for when we think is the right moment to consummate the merger… but discussions are still on and when… and as we progress, we will definitely inform the shareholders and the public”

Mr Olakunle ALAKE
Chairman, NASCON Board of Directors at AGM 2024, May 8, 2025
Thanks Karltom for this update.....

Vitafoam has subsidiaries and foam are not one time thing. They use in packaging, furnitures, noise proof, underlays e.t.c and with population of more than 90 million 18-45 people that will get married, upgrade house. They fall in the construction sector which is booming currently.

move to Morgans capital. bamboo is a scam. they rip you off by inflating your average cost, imagine telling me that my old stocks, that i have bought and sold, deal done, will still affect my average cost if decide to buy same stock. my stocks were going no where only for me to review and see they inflated my average cost hence you cant make profit. do your maths on the app, calculate your average cost and compare it with what your dashboard on bamboo is showing you, you will be shocked. since i moved to Morgans capital iv not had any issues. Its a shame because bamboo has one of the best apps user interphase
Thanks for this 🙏🏿

My broker sold my WEMA rights and the account statement he gave shocked me to the marrow.
Please gurus in the house is this statement true.

08-May-2025 05-May-2025 Stock Sale: 500 RR25WEMA @NGN1.05 for A/C 49286 N510.09
08-May-2025 05-May-2025 Stock Sale: 214,166 RR25WEMA @NGN1.00 for A/C 49286 N209,832.87

E gba mi o!
Market Price yesterday was between 13.80 and 13.95 for Wemabank shares.
The rights offer is for N10.45.

That's a gain of about N3 if I sell on the market now and use it to fund purchase of the rights. That means you could have gotten about N600k net of fees if you sold the equivalent volume of rights and buying it back by taking up your rights.

This is now heads up for me to decide on taking action. Sell on the floor and take it back as rights the volume I have sold and pocket the difference as a gain Or just take up my rights as WEMA has a trailing PE of about 2 using rights price and 2024 FY earnings. Also looks like a dividend yield of about 9 to 10% doable going forward based on rights price.

What are they using to pump transcohotel. Does it mean that the same thing cannot be deployed to move Transcorp and transpower?

They have fixed the issue
That was the case earlier this year, and I had to "paara" for them sometime in February

But they have repented and fixed the bug
At least in my own experience.

There will definitely be a greater demand for packaging by NB... wink
