@Nosa, enough of expo on ellahlakes, if you continue like this the price might go up.

I can see some one that said he would wait for it at 10 or 20 asking you questions.

Pls don't validate anybody's buy or sell decisions, adult should learn to decide themselves.

If you continue, we would wait for when they come for you because they expect quick gains but not coming by. We would follow them to drag you..
grin grin

Agba I tot your friend said na dogoyaro company, why is he so concerned about the company lately.. grin grin

I have a target price of N6 to stop accumulating. It will probably take a year or more for it to leave that price

You could be right bro.I have known you for some moon now.
You have always been strict with fundamentals when picking stocks which you even showed before picking gtbank stocks.
I guess you have you reasons for not sticking to that in this one.I know you have been a practical farmer ones in nigeria too.I pray time proves your decision right on this one.
For me I will take them serious when I get reliable information on person who has visited the farm concerning palm fruits. The second option is i take the pain to go thr myself if I get the proper address once on business trip to the state

So you're right, it is still very risky. I plan on selling a property in Ajah to buy this stock. Once the property is sold I will visit the company office and ask to go see the farm myself. Right now I have some and I am still buying, however I have not yet deployed serious funds into it.

I planned to start a palm oil business and to me investing that money into this is a better play. Assuming the numbers are true, and I feel they are, then buying at below book value is actually better than starting my own business myself.

This is my rationale
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by HesInMe: 5:42pm On May 12, 2025
LOL. You want to sell property to buy Ellah?

I have seen this tragic movie before. The title was "The Cham'ing of Loco."

It's not "investing." You're throwing money into a bottomless well you don't even control. Tell us what the "book value" of this cash-burning company is.

He doesn't really require any validation of his decision and this type of scrutiny is unwarranted.

Someone sold 1m units of ELLAHLAKE

Seems the pressure is getting to a few... grin
I sold Xm units of mine which represents 25% of my stake, looks like that is what has generated this long analysis that has gone to about 4 pages. The person that sold 1m units definitely have his/her reasons as well, same with the buyer. Ultimately everybody go dey alright.

He's promoting Ellah here. We're responding to his promotion. We can't scrutinize stock picks again?

Should we instead chat about the weather?

He is not promoting the Elijah Lake, he only mentioned his pick and by the way, he doesn't need to convince anyone else apart from himself, about his choices. Our life choices are personal.

Respectfully, if you want a safe space for your personal decisions, maybe don't post them on a public forum with 3 million users.

Now quit with the emotions. We're debating the stock; we're not analyzing his babe. What is the book value of Ellah?

Is the book value not included in the recent financials? Alright, since you’re asking, it’s approximately 20.8 billion naira. Now, what else do you need?

N7+. The majority of this is in land value. Palm tree assets stand at about 0.28k

Ellah Lakes is undoubtedly an old company, but their venture into farming is a recent development. As far as I know, all startups burn through cash—sometimes for years. Yes, it’s a high-risk move, but given the current value of the agricultural sector, failure would be quite difficult. They've acquired land—that’s a fact. They've raised some capital—also a fact. They have palm seedlings worth over 700 million naira. How many palm trees would that translate to? They also have a strong team. You want to see revenue first? That’s fine—you can wait. But some people believe that by the time the kind of revenue you’re waiting for begins to show, the share price may have already multiplied. That’s why they’re buying in at this early stage. Isn’t that a reasonable approach?

I don't think this is correct—it should be around 1.7, and that refers to the book value per share. Book value is approximately equal to equity, which is about 20.79 billion naira, while the number of shares is around 12.2 billion. So, the book value per share comes out to roughly 1.7. But I might be wrong.

Outstanding share is 3,858,173,678 on NGX website.

Do the maths again

You are mistaking market cap with outstanding share

I think NGX website is "wrong".

Latest report shows Issued share capital is 2,753,786,788.

I believe they have more shares that have not been issued and i think that is what is on NGX website
