Good evening house.

Which stock broker is the best in investing in Nigeria stocks?

I'm currently using Bamboo.
I use investment one and I am very happy with their services

I like small margins on large volumes. I don't think I've ever exited a position at up to 20% upside. Usually below 5%.
Below 2% net of all fees and charges.

But i'll take 2% of N150m over 15% of N15m, plus the fees I pay help keep maybe an extra cleaner or other staffers in jobs.
What of 100% of 150m? With less stress

How often do you make 100% of the N150m?
What's the chance that while targeting the 100% you could still end up in a downside?

You make it sound like if I make API calls, I would get some sort of 500 response saying "unprocessable request, you have open NGX orders"

Point is: it takes less than 7 minutes to place 30+ orders (If you know which ones to place), and while they're open, it doesn't stop your Zoom/Google meet, postman, vscode or rubymine from running.

Not exactly your big capital grin
But I think it's feasible once in a year or two if you know your game.

People don't know that it's so easy to target one or two stocks that are sure banker for the year. That doesn't mean it will fly immediately you buy but you can give yourself 6-12 months. Sometimes you even hit above 100% if you are patient enough. Sometimes luck can even push it in three months. I have experienced all these scenarios grin

Me think this is much easier than running after 2-5% when I no do Forex Lol

Anyway the Koko na to make the though as long as it works for you

It’s easier to make 100% of 100k. Not same applies to making 100% of 1bn

My bro, it's possible. If you really understand this market and you have been here long enough, you know it's feasible.

Although 100% Investing 1bn is only possible with a few selected stocks.

I know the moniker — he once mentioned his style of trading, I think two or three years ago. People found fault in his system back then, just like you're doing now, and it turned into a long argument, sef.

If he's been doing this successfully for years, so why should he change to your style? Just a humble question.

I think both your method and his have their benefits and risks. For example, in your case, if you choose wrong and the trade moves in the opposite direction — maybe after hitting 51% — you might end up becoming an investor for two years or even go to negative percent. On the other hand, his method seems easier, but a couple of bad trades could significantly reduce his capital.

Anyway, if it works and commissions aren’t too high, I don’t see why change is necessary.

MCSE hiking fees to 0.75% from 1st July.

that's extra 250k to 500k monthly brokerage fees for me.

Who has a trading license here.
I'll commit to N2bn annual trading value if you'll offer 0.5%
Pls is it this same brokerage fee we’re talking of. These guy have been charging me 1.35% oo. Never knew other brockers take less.

It is not happening anytime soon. The matter dey court. The hearing na next month
I just did some research on the case and I discovered the case was commenced by Originating Summons.
If they don't raise more objections then we expect the case to be concluded by June / July this year.
Cases brought by Originating summons are fought on affidavit evidence. No need for witnesses.
They just adopt their processes in one day, and the court adjourns for judgment.

But something tells me the big players in the sector might be behind the court action and senate interventions.
They will like to buy up the cement company.
I for one will love to see a merger/acquisition by BUA. Them go give better compensation

Na you wan use them nah.
Two things make me stop using investment one trading platform.
1.Brokerage fees of 1.35%
2.Limit placed on my trading capacity.

Na that limit placed on my account pain me pass.
Either I trade 5 million units or a value of N20m per trade.

Now I left them and moved to where I can trade unlimited and 0.50% fees.

Na them loose.

I see it as good thing for minority shareholders. It could result to a very good premium at the end because of dragging and higher interest

I don't get the limit part. They decide how many units you can buy/sell or amount you spend. Why?

I don't think this limit of a thing is for all clients. You can ask them about the limit or value you can trade with them.I am telling you about my own case with them.

They thought it's a punishment to me by restricting me not to buy above 5 million units of a stock at a time. They have Freelancer agents at Nsempa here who feed them with information.Loco has 7 active accounts.I don't depend on a particular broker.

Investment one wasn't fair to me upon the money they make from me on weekly basis at 1.35%.I have shunned them.

Those agents here I know them.I didn't open an account through their refereer code. They think they can fight Loco.Na them loose.I am doing very well without them

Exactly, as long as you know what works for you!

In my early days, I was always pained to read about people doing 200% , 300% on stocks, so sometimes I tried to take some positions to try my luck, nearly every single time, I exit at a loss, however ultimately, those stocks do better, but I would have sold off at a loss.

I remember last entering Access at around 7/8 naira after the merger with Diamond, on the basis of the perceived stronger entity I foresaw,

Oya, let stock climb na, no o, it instead fell from 7/8 to as low as N5, I sold when I could no longer near the frustration, today, perhaps around 1 year after, the stock climbed above N10.

But it just never works for me.

Trying to say we should all do long term or that we should all do 5-minute entry/exit is like telling all football coaches to always play 4-4-2.

I like my 1-2%, I'm already up 80-100% this year. That's 100% of my entire portfolio size not 100% in a few positions.

Other brokers will like someone like you but investment one will put restrictions on your account if you are a Jijo type.I know you will not have anything to do with them self since their fees is 1.35% and you are looking for 0.50%

What's my business with them? Let them face their asset management business squarely and leave stock brokerage for people when understand what they're doing.
