I want to depart Nigeria on the 26th because I will be using a connecting flight by Qatar airways which arrives Gatwick on the 27th but my entry date is 27th to the UK.

I want to know if I would have any issues boarding on that 26th?

Based on experience I would advise you to go for roehampton because it’s cheaper in terms of deposit and the payment plan is very ok

Thank you for the response. I was actually thinking Roehampton cost of living would be high but since it's cheaper and has good/favourable payment plan, I'll go for it.

We applied also for May intake but was deferred to sept intake.

While we had conditional offer all along, it didn't even crossed my mind to make payment at all cos at some point they kept requesting for Another personal statement upon another.

It was until April 28th that they finally sent my unconditional offer, so for now we are waiting for pre CAS interview.

Why I asked was because, upon checking my application status tab via e-vision, I saw that we are to pay the deposit now.

So am just kinda confused. Will attach it now.

If you’ve gotten your unconditional offer letter,you have to make your deposit immediately because it’s very important as unconditional letter means your slot has been kept so failure to pay deposit now is a risk I won’t advise you to take…please go ahead and make your deposit immediately so as to be on a safe side…

He advised we wait till after Pre CAS before making payment. In his words, the school has just concluded means for their interview and would begin to roll them out in two weeks time.

So I asked him specifically, if I should go ahead to make payment. He said he would advise we wait till after the interview.

Put your POF back into your account before traveling to UK and print the bank statement (it can be a 5-day bank statement not necessarily 28 days). It seems to be on a case by case basis. A good number of students that travelled for this May intake experienced it. Better safe than sorry.

Yes, my sister came in 2 weeks ago and she was asked to provide this at the point of entry. According to her, the img officer "joked" after she provided that they denied entry to someone in the morning for not being able to provide it. She informed her friend who was coming in the following weekend to have it and the friend also said she was asked at point of entry.

I experienced that in 2023; my UK visa and family, started on the 25th of that month. The Qatar flight from Nigeria departed at 10am on the 24th from Nigeria to arrive in the UK on the 25th at 6am. You will NOT have a problem with boarding Qatar flight and staff on that day.

But at almost the last point of the Nigeria immigration side, they would try everything to frustrate and extort you (telling you, Why do you want to exit Nigeria when your UK visa has not started?; telling lies their like their system flagging it, would not allow them to check you out....bla..bla... they would ask you to come back the next day,your visa start date. Though I strongly disagreed with their story and was very adamant not to give them a dime, they still delayed and extorted 10k from family of 5 at that point.... we were never expecting there could be this kind of extortion. Hope they would have changed now. you may prepare against this.

Pls, any May intake here??

Why do you want to use priority. You still have enough time. I will advise not to waste your money but if you have excess cash. You can use it.

Priority "visa" is a UKVI commercial partner service. If available at the time of booking for your biometrics whether in May or June, you can select and pay the extra costs associated with the Priority or Super Priority services. To benefit from an expedited process, your application must be straightforward by this I mean as clear and complete as possible. Complex cases may not be expedited, especially if additional information or checks are needed.

So I advice that you apply for normal visa since you have enough time but to answer your question “YES” it is possible to book a priority visa if that is your interest
