@Loco have read your post and comments from others, and sincerely, it's my first time to know about the restriction. Perhaps the clients I introduced have not placed such a single trade.

However, I contacted one of the management on the matter, and was told that it was placed on all customers' accounts as a measure to safeguard their accounts based on some ugly experiences that they had with some accounts. SEC is aware, too.

It was also clearly stated that any client/customer who wants to place a single trade of such amount is free to do so after instructing that his/her account should be expanded without any restriction.

So if you wish or know that in the course of your trade, you can place such a quantity or more on a single trade, you are free to do so.

On the issue of commission, it's very flexible. It depends on the amount involved. As we speak, there are customers for whom negotiation of less than 1% commission is used. It all depends on your volume. Commission can always be negotiated.

Please note that Ione is there for you and promises good and excellent service always, and your patronage is appreciated anytime.

Thank you.

PS. I beg make una help my ministry o, open your account and trade without tears!
@ Emmasoft,I committed 25m in your firm for trading.

I also committed 15m at Greenwich mytradebook and another 10m to Afrinvest.

I was ready to put all my portfolio in your firm investment one because of the self funding and self withdrawal.

I had an ugly experience with your firm for 2 years which prompted me to search for other brokers who can give me the type of service I want.I discovered cardinalstone, stanbic Ibtc,Atlass portfolio, investnaija and Apel.

It will be hard for me to believe you don't know about this restrictions and denial of trades.Do you know how many times I missed my trades with your firm as a result of orders not reaching the floors? My problem with your firm wasn't the brokerage fees even though I was charged standard fees which wasn't good for my type of trade.

These firms I mentioned are responding very well to me and my portfolio doing very well.I am trading in some of them at 0.50 and 0.70% maximum but you couldnt give these rates to me.

If I have to come back to you,I can only trade a 5m value or a million units trade.Thats the type of clients you enjoy most.

You need to change in order to be among the top 10 brokers at NSE

This appears to be a potentially very big trouble for Fidelity.

ndept:

This may likely affect the share price to some extent

In somewhat unrelated news, not only has the FG normalized not paying coupons on the exact maturity dates, they have quietly normalized collecting taxes on previously tax-exempt securities.
You can say it again, fixed income has turned to variable income.

This 100k single buy and sell rule before a price change for stocks need to be expunged or exempted for some stocks.

This is what has been holding down the price of Airtel Africa. Who is ready to release 100k single trade now? And worst still if the first in line on the buy side is not up to 100k units there will be no price change.

All my FGNSB monthly coupons started getting taxed a few months ago. I thought the one time was an anomaly and ignored, also the second, third... Alas, it's been normalized, quietly. cheesy

I think taxing is not bad, especially if they are channeling it in the right places. But one of the fundamental characteristics of taxation is transparency. There was no info, no notification, nothing.

Yes ooo. No government investment proceed is paid at maturity anymore. The worst of them all is that FGN Savings Bonds. Imagine they've not deem it fit to pay customers for the coupon due on the 15th of this month yet today is 19th.
