I've been buying an INSURANCE COY since this MAY... I don't know if I should say the name or not...

This INSURANCE COY was amongst the first insurance stocks I got in 2008 with my former broker MAYFIELD... I might call the name soon but not now...

And for those that will be in a hurry to ask for the name, it's not your everyday insurance COY

All my INSURANCE stocks in the past still with me after I've got out my CAPITAL but you see this particular COY I have never sold a single unit from it. I just look for a cool entry and load more

ok. i get you. Actually that's the strange thing about Maths.

if a stock of N5 looses 99.9% in value, the share price will be at N0.005.

now for it to recover back to N5, it will need 99,999% (almost 100,000%).

It's easier to destroy than to build.
After all, bulldozer will bring down a building in one day but it will take around 60 days to erect same building back to spot

This is scary. That means if I buy a stock at N10, and it loses 90%, same stock will have to gain 900% before I can recover back my initial capital.

Long Term Investors, and those presently Catching a Falling Knife, need to be aware of this.

fortunately, when a stock is loosing like 10% per day, it does that in arithmetic progression but when it is gaining, it is geometric.

from your example, if the stocks is loosing 10% daily, it will take it 22 days to loose 90% from N10 to N1.

Now from N1 back to N10, it will take it 24 days to gain 900% if it is gaining 10% daily.

unite4real:
(4.33-1.90)/4.33 X 100

that's 56.12% down.

meanwhile 100% of 4.33 is 4.33. for a stock to loose 100% share price, it means the current price will be (4.33-4.33) which is 0. now imagine saying a stock lost 150%.

Banks will never want to settle until it gets too bad.
Back in the days, a colleague of mine did a case of wrongful withdrawal against stanbic, they refused to settle the case until judgment of N250million was given against them. They now sent a director to the colleague, pleading and pleading for a settlement in reduced sum.
I presently have a case with zenith bank, after acknowledging wrong they offered N500k as settlement for a case we sued for over N1.5billion.

To all Champion shareholders

AGM is tomorrow 21st May
Dividend payment date is Thursday 22nd May.

Take your Awoof money and drink palmy and Nkwobi while waiting for your NPf and chams to deliver.

Don't ever think of selling your champion. It will soon become a blue chip stock.Raysun is trying to retain some holdings but it's a battle of share price to advance
