Oh. Alright then...
Calebbold:
The family of Makanjuola has over 2.2 billion units of Caverton held in direct/indirect shares. The units of shares they have sold so far is insignificant for now.

The OP is highlighting that there's been a lack of trading activity in companies that have been delisted or are about to be delisted.

This story doesn’t look real though. Sahara reporters and People Gazette for the most part are mostly all about political propaganda.

Think you're wrong sir.......and I think he already explained.
Even though there was mixup in the list.
Could have separated the "delisted" companies from the "re-listed" companies.........
Relisted because of transition to Holdco.....CHIPLC, Sterling, Firstholdco.
I don't know what LEGENDINT is doing there anyway.

Bros, what FIDELITY did is called transparency....refuting bad press from an unscrupulous journalist quoting an unnamed source in a very sensitive matter!
Unreasonable journalism can bring down the stock market due to domino effect - everyone starts running without knowing what the problem really is.
Anyways we see how it all pans out!
NB: I have FIDELITY in my portfolio cool

The right thing for Fidelity Bank to have done after the Appeal Court judgment was to transfer the judgment debt into an escrow account whilst pursuing the appeal at the SC. As it stands, the longer the bank engages in prevarication under the guise of seeking Judicial interpretation, the bigger the debt becomes because it will continue to attract interest 😀

I've been buying an INSURANCE COY since this MAY... I don't know if I should say the name or not...

This INSURANCE COY was amongst the first insurance stocks I got in 2008 with my former broker MAYFIELD... I might call the name soon but not now...

And for those that will be in a hurry to ask for the name, it's not your everyday insurance COY

All my INSURANCE stocks in the past still with me after I've got out my CAPITAL but you see this particular COY I have never sold a single unit from it. I just look for a cool entry and load more
Call name Abeg, you be leader.

Guys, someone here asked a few days back why stocks like Airtel still needed 100k units for a price change.

To him, my response is:
The volume needed was indeed tiered as you expect only a few years back, with stocks above just #100 needing only 10k units for a price change.

But people were then easily distorting the index with price movements on stocks like Dangote cement (needed only 2.2m then)

To everyone, my take is that, that rule probably needs to be adjusted to reflect new market realities.

At the time it was introduced, only NESTLE was priced above 1000, today we have GEREGU, AIRTELAFRI and SEPLAT too some having done 10x in the intervening period.

My proposal:
Let's revert to allowing 10k units cause a price change (maybe this time for stocks above N1000) provided the ticker hasn't had a price movement for up to 30 days (new clause to guide against the index distortion concern).

I think this adjustment is needed to help stocks like Airtel and SEPLAT which have such wide disparity between the prices in London and Lagos.

I'll try to send an email to the NGX public contact, please send this proposal too if it makes sense to you(add your voice), also if you have private communication access to the team there, maybe raise it too.

The market could be doing extra N5bn per week on these two if they weren't so blocked.

Tell the person it is not automatic that there must be a price change each time 100k units of a stiock are transacted.
