Let them remain there or the shareholders do a stock split. It's not NGX fault
A rule amendment is better in this case.
It's not the shareholders' fault either that the stocks have gotten so valuable, neither is it their fault that NGX isn't as liquid.

NPF has 4 more working days to close their record for dividend.

QD 28th May

NPF has to rise to 3.25 on or before 28 and has to build a strong support at 2.50.

This dividend na another Awoof like champion

We gonna experience huge volumes from NPf in these 4 days

So when a couple of companies' share gets to 20k or 50k, they should change the rule again? NGX shouldn't be bending rules because of a couple of coys. It is the responsibility of company board to improve the liquidity of their shares na

I think I agree with ur take. When good companies dilute thr shares so it becomes liquid and easily tradeable. This will make them strive to generate more profits to improve thr EPS as thr os has increased. They won't just become comfortable with little improvement in future results. This is what I expect in ucapital etc

They should be the same offering, this was the only one I chose the 2-year tenor.

You may be paid today.
I think so. I was later paid that yesterday.

Didn't get my WAPCO dividend yesterday! First time experiencing a delay in dividend payment. Anyone knows if there is something I should do?
I don't think you will do anything for now. i have not also received mine. Just keep you fingers crossed. Hopefully, it should land today. Registrars have started to behave funny these days.

Good. The problem is the lack of clarity on how they run those securities now.

Surprised to see my WAPCO div didn't land even till this morning. But the previous one of a month ago landed promptly. I am suspecting the registrars and companies paying dividends sometimes do not have the complete money, so they pay in batches with funds at hand over 1 to 2 days or more sef.

I have not received mine too, hopefully it will drop. I think sometimes they pay according to the units shareholders are holding . The recipient bank may also delay payment if their network is down.

They don't necessarily have to change the rules with rising prices.
What we had before was better than this in my opinion, using classification based on company share prices.

I think NSe should remove all those restrictions now that the market is a bit stable.
Let it be as is done in Other countries of the world. No limits. If the companies want to manipulate they will still manipulate. It is the job of the regulators to monitor, dictate and arrest such manipulations.
Even with the restrictions, the lower priced stock easily gets manipulated

Please for those complaining about Wapco and SFSREIT dividend. You can just check your account and see.

I just checked my account this morning and saw both dividends there. It was after like and hour later that I received the alert for SFSREIT and it's even carrying yesterday's date.

I have not seen Wapco alert but it's in my account already.

Same rule works even if price hits N100k per share.

It's not really a rule bending. Tiered volume for price adjustment was the original rule, they ammended it to address the concern of index distortion, what I'm saying is that there's a way to keep that concern addressed while avoiding the adverse effect of illiquidity.

Board responsibility is to deliver optimum share holder value na, liquidity for listed equities is more of an NGX responsibility than the board's.
Na NGX suppose dey drive innovations that'll improve market participation, make board face the business of driving profitability and operational efficiency

It all depends on how the judgement pans out, if Fidelity is to pay #35b that can't scratch their financials much, a quarter's PAT can handle it. But if they are to pay #225b as being alleged from some quarters that may wipe out their full year 2025 PAT and will significantly affect their share price. So brace up for #10-12 if that second scenario is the case.
After all this is Nigeria where we have seen someone who came 4th in an election declared the winner of the election.

They can convert the debt to equity at a discounted rate if that would be acceptable to the judgement creditors and CBN recapitalisation framework, otherwise na gobe

I think you are right, since we have a very low participation to population ratio in the Nigerian stock market NGX is supposed to be engaged in serious marketing campaigns to bring in more funds.
