Price/Book (P/B) Method - Book Value Per Share: ₦3.63 - P/B Range (1.0x–1.5x): ₦3.63 – ₦5.45 Fidson Key Financials (Q1 2025) - Profit After Tax (Q1 2025): ₦3,250,658,000 - Basic EPS (Q1 2025): 142 kobo = ₦1.42 - Shares Outstanding: 2,294,996,000 shares - Annualized EPS: ₦1.42 x 4 = ₦5.68 - Total Equity (March 2025): ₦26,976,971,000 - Book Value per Share: ₦26,976,971,000 / 2,294,996,000 ≈ ₦11.76 per share Valuation 1. P/E Multiple (Sector Range: 6x–10x) P/E - Implied Fair Value (₦) 6x - 5.68 x 6 = 34.08 8x - 5.68 x 8 = 45.44 10x - 5.68 x 10 = 56.80 2. Price/Book (P/B) Method - Book Value per Share: ₦11.76 - P/B Range (1x–1.5x): ₦11.76 – ₦17.64 My Opinion - I intentionally used a lower multiple for Fidson just to show why it is fundamentally stronger than MeCure on both earnings and asset base. - The market should and does price Fidson at a premium to MeCure, justified by higher profit, superior balance sheet, and a track record of sector leadership. - If you are considering both as portfolio candidates, Fidson offers better downside protection (via asset base) and greater upside if sector multiples expand. - MeCure remains investable at the lower band of sector multiples, especially if its cancer center and recent projects drive sustainable profit growth, but it is a “mid-tier” play versus Fidson’s “sector leader” status. Mecure is overvalued as it is. Best case it goes to 14 naira (26% upside) or it drops to 7 naira (37% down side) |

Your analysis is sharp and well-structured, it demonstrates a clear understanding of valuation metrics, earnings quality, and risk-reward tradeoffs. That said, I remain confident in my BUY recommendation on MeCure. While I respect your view that Fidson may offer stronger fundamentals at this time. it’s a free market, and that’s the beauty of it. Differing views, based on distinct strategies and time horizons, are what make markets function. now :: I'm a trader, just looking for my next take profit, if the stock goes up fine I'll take my profit and walk away, if it goes down, I'll take my loss and walk away, but so far my analysis, that I have used previously has allowed me to take trades like this. """ explanation to the photos attached """ 1: my entry price for custodian was @18.10 on 15 may 2025, and on17 May. Nairametrics released that article as to why custodian might be undervalued, fast forward to 6 days ago, the CEO of Toyota brought 150Mn shares at 3Bn. and recently, custodian was among the stock recommendation from Morgan capital. All these i consider catalyst to cause the price to move up ward. 2: my buy and sell entry for UPL 3: My entry for champion, which crossed well over 100% return, I'm not an investor, looking to buy and hold for the next 2/3 years like someone said about CUTIX. I'm just looking for my next take profit. bovali:

Opportunity cash at work On June 1, 2025, NNFM released its 2024 financial report ending 31st March 2025, which, as expected, showed a modest dividend. While social media predicted a negative impact on the share price, I anticipated otherwise. The company's fundamentals remained strong, with an outstanding share count of 178.2 million, revenue of N35.39 billion, and a profit before tax of N2.89 billion, Total comprehensive income of 1.7B. After reviewing the 93-page KPMG-certified report, I noticed that the most crucial information was strategically placed on the last page. As I had mentioned earlier, market makers were trying to manipulate minority shareholders into selling their valuable assets, hence the social medial impulses. This played out on June 2, 2025, when the market opened with approximately 3.5 million unit offers at N126.02 and zero bids. I seized this opportunity to increase my holdings, deploying my opportunity cash effectively. Inspired by Pa Emmanuel's advice on the importance of opportunity cash, I quickly converted my emergency fund from a money market fund to cash. With a single click on the I-invest app, N3 million was transferred to my bank account, and subsequently, I credited my brokerage account. This strategic move allowed me to capitalize on the market opportunity and join the 1.36% of shareholders owning 50,001 to 100,000 shares. My goal is to create a legacy portfolio for generational wealth. By 2027, I aim to join the 1.12% of shareholders owning 100,001 to 500,000 shares of NNFM if the company is not delisted. With determination and strategic investing, I believe I can achieve this milestone. May God bless and guide all self-investors, granting them wisdom, patience, and prosperity in their investment journeys.

moneymanager:When you read the report you would see that comparatively on the average, the bad loans seemed to have reduced significantly in Q1 2025. I think Q2 would give us even more perspective but so far 2025 doesn’t seem that bad compared to 2024. |
