moneymanager:Yes, via compound interest if you are compounding quarterly instead of cashing out. Note: The rate isn't static; it changes depending on market conditions and the MPR. |

What Alhaji is listing. Dangote’s $2 billion Petrochemical Plant located in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, is designed to produce 77 different high-performance grades of polypropylene in the country. With a turnover of $1.2 billion, the 900,000 metric tonnes per annum capacity Dangote Petrochemical plant, situated alongside the Dangote Refinery, has been strategically positioned to cater to the demands of the growing plastic processing downstream industries; not only in Africa but also in other parts of the world. https://www.dangote.com/dangotes-2-billion-petrochemical-plant-to-produce-77-grades-of-polypropylene/ We wait for the fertiliser plant. |

Friday to Monday! There's ample time to rest and thoroughly review the company's financials and forward outlook as we all consider taking a position in this under-the-radar company. What does Alhaji plan to bring to the market next – petrochemicals or fertiliser? |

Clarity is needed. We hear Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals We hear Dangote Refinery We hear Dangote Petrochemicals We hear Dangote Fertilizer. The Fertilizer is well understood but the other two. Are two companies going to be listed or three? |

Valuation, amidst fewer alternatives out there. But the bolded part of your comment is still a concern, especially if interest rates start to decline as cash-flush banks chase yield. So for now I'm sticking to banks that have completed recap (no further dilution) and have opportunities for growing non-interest revenue. I own GTCO from way back, and of course they're doing well. But I'm truly confused about what to do with it as it doesn't gel with my thesis. (BTW, raising your dividend payout technically shouldn't raise your valuation as earnings growth falls.) Let me drop my 2cents. The urea (fertilizer) and polypropylene have their own distinct production processes AND plants. Their raw materials are byproducts of the refining process. So it's ideal to situate all plants (fertilizer, refinery and petrochemicals) within same complex for efficiency. For context, the full name is Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex FZE. For example, Port Harcourt Refinery has no petrochemicals plant compared to the other two (Warri and Kaduna). I believe that due to the complex nature and size of a refinery, it'll be in our best interest for Alhaji to do seperate listing else we might see a SP of ₦5000 at listing... faoogoke: |

I'm confused on whether to go with oando, but even I know thats a big gamble, hopefully it falls very quickly and very steeply too, and perhaps that would be the best time to buy. But something tells me oando will hit 350 in 5 years |
