Youngzedd:
Invest in FBNQuest Money Market Funds and leave stock alone.

Select quarterly payout.
This is a very solid advise. As you are planning your moms retirement, the best thing she needs is MMF with quaterly payments. You can be topping it up from time to tim.

Thanks for asking this question. I am patiently waiting to read the reply. I have always been going through banks results (particularly the ones i own their shares). I have not come across where Access made a loss in any quarter. Except i don't know want am looking out for. So, if this can further be explained, i will like it. Accounts is not my field i just manage to go by. We learn everyday.

This is huge. People get money for this country. But, my question is where was he when this share was selling at N460. Or is this a gimmick to raise the bar ?

Where were you when GTCO and the likes were less than half the price of what they are now?

It’s one thing to see shares at lower prices, and it’s another to have money to buy it.

They (Aradel) paid out almost N12 billion as share-based compensation to employees in Q1 2025. It was cash-settled, so it’s likely that the N750 million the CFO used for the share purchase came from that scheme.

Personally, I think the total amount paid out was quite high. When I was analyzing the financials, I noticed that adding back that N12 billion to profit after tax would have increased EPS from N7.77 to N10.58

This is not guaranteed. The fact that today's rate is above 20% doesn't imply it will stay so for the 365 days in a year. The rates change on daily basis. Money market rate changes with MPR interest rate. If inflation goes down this rates will go down and vice versa.
We have seen money market rates around 10% not so longer than 3 years ago.

If anyone wants a guaranteed return, it's only the FGN bonds that will be the choice.
Many stocks on here that can give you between 60% to 100% return in 6 months and that's being conservative..

I guess you are right. No man knows tomorrow, after all I bought the first public offer of Guaranty TrustBank@ N5 but, was only able to buy few units. Who will believe the same GTB will be selling for as much as N70 a few years later.

I'm not sure I agree with your advice. The stock market has a way of humbling even the most confident investors. With profit traps lurking around every corner, it's essential to stay vigilant and adapt to changing market conditions. Let's focus on making informed decisions and managing risk.

Agbalowomeri, it is not all that long ago. With nostalgia I remember how I was running up and down buying everything at sight mostly bank public offering. Filling prospectus and submitting back to banks. One was just buying anything in sight. It took me a while to know that I can buy any company of my choice through the secondary market. One was just buying stocks without knowledge. But I thank God am still in the game with a better understanding of the market grin
