Married off at 12, Safiya Hussaini (born in 1967) could never have imagined that the birth of her fifth child near the end of her third marriage would put her life in danger.https://www.facebook.com/share/1AcgWfcveV/

How many still remember this poor old woman that was almost killed unjustly by the defective and warped legal system of this contraption of a nation? The case was a sensational one back then. I think then seating Pope or the Italian government gave her citizenship and she went over to naturalize there leaving sadly leaving her home country that was unfair to her. |

Hussaini claimed that she was the victim of repeated rape by a man whom the Sharia court found not guilty due to lack of evidence. It takes two to tango but Sharia said only the woman is guilty. What a world. |

A very tough case that period. She went through hell and came out alive. She left and never looked back. After she left, a lot of people left Nigeria with asylum on persecution bases. The origin of japa |

OneCandleAway:Every legal system can be miscarried at times. There's no 100% perfection so long as humams are involved. How many times have we read that the so called "developed Countries " wrongly sentenced someone?? Should they also scrap thier laws?? |

Why do we have two constitution in Nigeria? This is actually insane. This is actually a violation of he civil rights because no where in the constitution is adultery a capital offense I hate this country |

Men judged her. Using sentiments and no legal backing. In this age of DNA, where paternity can be established to an extent ...... Is the punishment for adultery not lashing? What exactly was used as the basis for the case ? Again it would have been better to state the prosecutor and the judge's names so people can ask the basis for their prosecuting and judging the case. |

Emu4life:Sharia is worse. At least developed countries amend their laws to modern realities. Islam doesn't. That's why y'all still think it's right to marry 9 year olds and beat women |

There's always a guinea pig for religious hypocrisy. This woman suffered because someone wanted to use her blood to write a political statement. |
| Re: Safiya Hussaini: She Fought A Death Sentence And Walked Free by Nchenches: 8:52pm On Jun 10, 2025 |
After sentencing a woman to death because she gave birth to a child, Sharia criminal laws, you still want to share one Nigeria with other groups who will never think of stoning a woman to death because she gave birth to a child. Reality check: commonly shared value systems is the bedrock of nationhood. IPOB people saw far. |

advanceDNA:Should we abolish Nigerian western law totally? Because we have read many cases of rights violations and miscarried justice in Nigeria western law. We know you hate Islam and you don't have any power to stop its growing, but reason well nah before calling for cancellation. |

Racoon:Another woman sentenced to death for adultery by a northern Nigeria sharia court was picked up by Italy. She has been living in Rome on charity since then. Adopting sharia criminal laws in a country of people of mixed religious faiths is the mother of secessionist groups down southeast of Nigeria. |

North ! The mountain tied to the progress of Nigeria and fashioned to drown it unless it’s chains are cut away . Millions uneducated, millions religious fanatics , Islamic terrorists , legalized pedophiles , poverty region of the nation , monumentally and fantastically corrupt leadership etc . Let them have their country and western countries will blacklist them as a terrorist nation within months. |
