Streetinvestor2:Because our exports are still 80% oil and gas of which the NNPC gets only about half of that. So if in a year we get 50 Billion USD from oil exports, what we get would be around 25 Billion USD, the rest are repatriated by the likes of Shell and Chevron to their parent companies. Our exports are not yet diversified so the predominant source of FX is oil which we don’t fully control to some extent. The value of the naira is also affected by the very high debt servicing (especially foreign) and the budget deficits we have had non stop since 2013. |

Agbalowomeri:It doesn’t even need to trend down to show that the policies are working. Remaining stable alone and devaluing at 5% per annum will be good for the economy. Predictability is the most important thing. |

NNPC has begun publishing their monthly report.

Olaide1295:It is not about pointing accusing fingers at one person or the other or one party or the other. They are all the same. If the president knows that historically, the house will add their own quota, he could have reduced his budget presentation to $45/50 while they add their own to make it $60. Anyway, that is their problem. Mine is to capitalize on their fuulishness and stuupidity to my advantage |

I don't think your caption is correct though. Man is getting old (68) and it's imperative to start delegating some responsibilities. He remains Chairman of Dangote Group Can we also say that TOE has demoted TRANSCORP Power? The elders say "the strength of the chief lies in the strength of his tribe" ![]() zendi: |

Streetinvestor2:He's too fond of cement to do that. Besides, cement is making him money, while sugar is bleeding him money. I even expected him to divest from sugar altogether, like he did from flour. |

From my forecast and what they’ve done the other year they paid interim back in 2021. I think they can pay out another 4 or 5 naira per share as final dividend.

|
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmaodet: 11:13am On Jun 12, 2025 |
Ades1:Exactly brother. So that people won't be codedly oppressing others but the biggest fear of those doing well is for others to be okay. It means no one will care about the car you have or money you have and you won't be able to use your money to influence the decision of others. |

emmaodet:Just in case you didn't know, if you input this formula—or even use Excel’s built-in PV function—there’s a feature in Microsoft Excel that lets you estimate an input when you have the output. Instead of wasting time trying to reverse the formula manually, you can use Goal Seek. It's a powerful but hidden feature in Excel that only about 1% of users know about. ![]() |

PuristForest:Most likely those Aradel shares were allegedly crossed to a SPV. With what many know about such transactions in the industry, whoever did that transaction probably wanted to use those shares as a collateral to get a loan facility and his SPV would have suited the profile of the borrower by masking his or her identity. 🤔 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ositadima1(m): 11:30am On Jun 12, 2025 |
emmaodet:Lol, it’s not an app—it’s actually embedded inside Microsoft Excel. Let’s say you’re an architect trying to estimate the materials needed for a building. Your Excel file might have lots of equations linked together, with several input variables that ultimately produce a final output, like total cost or weight. Instead of manually tweaking inputs to figure out what value gives you the desired output, you can use Goal Seek to automate that. It helps you estimate what one specific input should be to achieve a certain output. I think it only works with one variable at a time, so all the other inputs must remain constant. |

zendi:I won't call it a demotion. I'll call it a shift as well as positive test of confidence in the some of his vested hands there which allows them to replicate what they did with NASCON PLC. He has adopted Mrs Yemis Ayeni after her tenure as Chairman of NASCON PLC to being a non-executive director at Dangote Sugar. Mr Kunle Alake (Group Managing Director) is now the Chairman of NASCON PLC. |

Streetinvestor2:As at April 30 official rate was $1,600(Nairametrics) and today, 12th June it's about $1,539(Businesspost) It's relatively stable at least. Though I get your point on the sustainability part due to borrowing and current low production rates. I share same concern. @GeneralDae thanks for the elaborate insight. |
