Twenty years ago, most people of aged 35 are married with teenage kids. A man of 35+ may face compatibility issue with a lady of 26 years or below except he met her when he was much younger.

As for sleeping around (fun), men, irrespective of their age, generally desire younger women of 20-26.

- Apart from the perception of Christianity being anti-polygamy (the Bible doesn't explicitly prohibit polygamy and all God's prophets had more than one woman), why are Northern Christian men not open to polygamy?

P.S. When you mean Northern Christians in general, which parts of the country do you cover? Does it include Benue (I'm not too convinced those people are "northern enough". )?

You are quite generally right even though i have met a few exceptions but the truth is this characteristics is a general characteristics of many (tempted to say most) women today who are attention and entertainment junkies..

Most of the People Commenting are Just ignorant. The Gen Z is a generation of People born from 1995 - 2008. Even some of you guys are Gen Z too. Each Generation has qualities that differentiate it from other Generations. Gen Z are a freedom loving and rebellious generation we do things that we want to do and don't care if it defies Traditions. So Mostly Girls of this Generation are not the type you would marry and expect a Traditional Gf or Wife or even loyalty sef they don't care. If they feel the marriage or Relationship is too constricting or they are not getting any benefits they will move away. it's hard for a Guy to tie them down. They just want to be Free and have fun, enjoy life . So for this Generation I don't think most will get married and if they do because of Societal expectations it might not last. There will always be exceptions though due to a lot of factors. As a Guy you need to be very observant.

I understand all you mentioned.... But in a society where's there are no jobs and the young ones need mentors and leaders... I guess men failed in that aspect.... I was in naija months ago and visited a man that had all young girls in his real estate company.... Hanging out in the evening, saw the same girls all dressed revealing along with his friends... I knew he was fvkin them... He's married for that matter... Men ought to be mentors and role models to these young girls... Not everything is all about fvckin, thus why I said failed society

Funny enough, the wedding I've been attending lately have been between men in their 30s and women in their late 20s upwards.

If they don't marry, how would they procreate to continue the tradition and lineage of Northern Nigeria's Christians? And why are the men afraid of marriage, considering that material things (an assumption by me) less entice Northerners in general (both religions)?

Yes, and it is also the generation that would be less convinced to "take care of their parents" in old age. They will be the ones to openly and bodly question their parents for having children they (the parents) cannot cater for. For those who have japa'd and would japa, they will be less interested in sending money home or returning.
