Aliko demotes Sugar on his attention priority list.

https://stocksng.com/aliko-dangote-retires-as-board-chairman-of-dangote-sugar-refineries/
I think this is good news for DANGSUGAR because Alhaji no longer have time to pay needed attention to the company.
Now the Directors will have free hands to operate and return the company to profitability without Alhaji dipping hands anyhow into the finances to take care of the refinery lipsrsealed
* Now is the time to keep DSR on close watchlist

Guys lets all learn to follow the money, they sold 10BN and bought 0.75BN, thats ridiculous.....when they sold 10Bn there was little fanfare, now they bought 0.75Bn and so much fanfare.....this is where patience become difficult becuase these composite investors will do all things to trigger people to jump in the market prematurely....where is the rest 9.2Bn seating.....

I knew the transaction was not pure. It was just a hype. It is market gimmicks. It changes nothing for me as I continue to wait for a bargain price at my bus stop. grin
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 2:56pm On Jun 12, 2025
Apparently Fola Adeola did not even really sell that N10bn, not sure how true it is but what i heard was it was just moved around by his broker so they can rank highest by value traded towards the end of the year.

BTW, Fola Adeola has about 261mn units. So the 18mn units they “sold” was peanuts for him.

Oh. He's an astute banker (former EcoBank & UBA CEO).
I just read about him.
He looks like the kind of person Alhaji loves - having been on the Group Advisory Committee for almost a decade... wink

Despite an intermediate bearish pattern with Oando since last year september, it shows a short term bullish signal that will likely test the #70 price range to either confirm the bullish continuation signal or a reversal to the prevailing bearish pattern.
It would be advised that traders should take some profit at this range while keeping an eye on the situation.
The bullish signal is preceeded by 2 rising bottoms of higher-highs which lead to break-outs at 41.75 and 52.90.
The chart shows a double-top bullish pattern at 41.75 and 52.90

DEFINING INVESTMENT USING JUNE TWELVE

J – Justify the returns. When you approach investing in an instrument, a rate is proposed. Justify it with economic reality. If it can’t be justified,
be wary of such. If it’s too good to be true, it’s possibly a scam/ponzi
U –Utilize available data to justify and back up your investment decision. Don’t just invest; utilize current data, remember the saying
“Past performance does not guarantee future returns.”
N –Negotiate for good returns for each investment move before making an investment decision.
E – Evaluate options for maximum gains

T – Transform cash into assets that produce more assets – compounding
W– Welcome change in your investment approach if your method is not working
E– Enlarge your circles of the right people (Networking). if you must have friends, let them be the ones with the right attitude to investment.
L – Leverage every opportunity to learn more and make more of the available resources for your portfolio growth
V – Validate available data to ensure its accuracy for informed and appropriate decision-making. Don’t just rely on rumours or assumptions
when investing.
E – End or terminate immediately any wrong investment ventures causing continual losses. Remember, you win some and lose some, just
make sure your wins are more than your losses.

Happy Democracy Day!

Cadbury has already delisted from the London Stock Exchange. What is the likelihood of Cadbury Nigeria toeing the same path in the medium term?

The current shareholding structure provided in it's last AFS and free float can provide hints.

Oil prices are already reacting to just the rumour and signs for now but if it eventually happens, oil prices may shoot to $80 per barrel.

Edit: Oh wait, Isreal is attacking Iran already.

WTI @ $76.23/bbl and climbing.
BRENT @ $76.91/bbl and climbing.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 9:17am On Jun 13, 2025
As we celebrate the price of crude. We should equally remember that majority of Nigerians use products from the crude. The inflation effects on goods and services is equally coming. Alhaji is not using water in his refinery na still crude
