Don't mind them. That na story. I believe they know what they are doing. Naija and 'wayo'.

I sent them an intial email which they did not reply to. I wrote them the second time and copied Zenith Bank (two email addresses). I told them my next email would be to NGX, SEC, etc. Zenith Bank replied that they will work on it as soon as possible. I also sent a mail to my broker (Morgan) and my complaint was forwarded to the Veritas.

KarlTom:
Overload of clients?

Like are they filling deposit slips to pay dividends OR am I missing something here?

I'm really surprised that you were caught in their web of deceit...

Please note that what I want to say now has nothing to do with your dividend payment.
One of the official of Veritas called me on phone last month. I was surprised because I didn't expect that level of responsibility from them.
I quickly used the opportunity to intimate her about how investors have been so disappointed and disenchanted with their nonchalant services which included lack of respectable responses to complaints.
After dropping an apology, her excuses were centered on overload of clients which they started finding it difficult to cope with, adding that they had started embarking on all possible actions to address the issue.
Let hope they would really improve.
We keep learning every day. Veritas has invented a new phrase for the corporate world - overload of clients and that's the reason why my dividend is ageing in their books. We will all be alright.

Do you know why I put more attention at Ellah?
As a veteran in the stock market I know that Ellah is an underpriced asset hence my bathmouthing for corrections.
Cileasing is another underpriced asset.I don't even need chart to confirm it.
Unless the mgt does not want their share price to rise.Cileasimg assets has risen to 113B naira and revenue 37B naira in 2024.
Just a positive Q1 result will push it to 100%.The Q1 result is not yet out but we have the record of activities done in the leasing and marine industries in Q1 2025.Cilleasing as a leader in the industry must have contributed to the sector. We await the Q1 and 2 results respectively to judge.
Loco the gamer, I hope your jijo apprentice knows about the bolded.

I come in peace.

You don't read financial reports and you say the ceo of a company is not doing well or smart. That means you consult the oracle to have gained such insight..lol

And I am neither a learner in the business. The business is not only about dividend. Infact is now I am taking the dividend part serious because of what I have come to understand about cash flow.I am considering cash flow now because I am working towards retirement
Dividend paying stock does not guarantee share appreciation. We see some dividend payments that don't make sense like the present one from japaul
The present dividend from Japaul is a pointer. The company has not paid dividend for more than 10 years. Maybe they will pay higher than 4 kobo by next year.

I doubt if this affects all banks. It appears to be limited to banks with capital adequacy issues/ enjoying some form of interventions from CBN. But I no too sure oh.

Wait! shocked shocked shocked You believe Ellah is "underpriced" like C&I? Based on what? Is this position not contradictory to your commentary on Ellah for the past weeks? When did it change? There has been no updated results since the last quarterly. huh

You realise you just admitted to manipulating unsuspecting NSEMPA members who follow you? It is underpriced so you badmouth it for what reason? Locodemy !!! cheesy cheesy cheesy

Loco, make you dey take am easy o. Money is not everything bro. There is more to life than riches. wink

N.B: This is not an endorsement of your position on C&I.

Not for banks like UBA, Zenith,Access and GTBank.

Each of the four banks listed above has a shareholder's funds exceeding 2.4 Trillion Naira!

UBA, Zenith Bank and Access Bank all have shareholder's funds that is doubled their market capitalization. The shareholder's funds of each of these 3 banks is close to 4 Trillion Naira.

Mehn Dangote refinery alone almost single handedly changed the dynamics of our petroleum products exports and imports in 2024/2025. This is a really good one for Nigeria.

They are doing well.
but have bloated amount of receivables and payables..
Hence low payout.

Be like the business is more of trade by barter rather than cash transactions.

Maybe wrong though.
From the notes to the Q1 result, about 38% of their receivables is Withholding Tax recoverable, while about 25% of their payables is VAT & WHT. They are still high though, but just wanted to state my observation.

A very nice one from UCAP!

Without doubts, credit and mortgage systems need to be more accessible and "practical" in Nigeria and West Africa at large. UCAP might be among the gamechangers when the time is right. Expansion to neighboring countries with more stable forex will allow for testing out systems that mimic what obtains in advanced economies.

CBN should have mentioned them

Banks will generally tank next week, irrespective. That's why they will remain underpriced. Random unexpected policy somersault. Seems the CBN has an agenda against shareholders grin

Apparently it will affect some of the FUGAZ because they have breached single obligation limits to Dangote. That’s what I’ve heard from someone

Zenith and Access Banks can never be in this category because they have met the latest capital adequacy requirement for international and national banking in Nigeria.
