If H Wigwe had set up an FIC before his passing, his family might have been better shielded from the ongoing crises. This highlights the potential benefits of proactive wealth planning and family governance structures like FICs fashionnisir: |

Mpeace:They can buy from him now.. He's offering free logistics. He's also offering credit guarantee of 2weeks for about 500,000litres purchase. These companies can afford it.. they are MAJOR MARKETERS. They should patronise him and reduce their Cost of sales ![]() |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by pluto09(m): 6:57pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
SonofElElyonRet:lol. It is better we look at the issues raised by the cbn objectively rather than judging them based on the premise that we are exposed to the banks as shareholders. The regulator is more interested in protecting depositors. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 7:03pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
chimex38:The thing now is that those advantages bestowed by size, is lost. The big and small will now play on equal advantage. If total sell 850, enjoy sell 850 and others sell at same price the name of the station becomes only cosmetic. It's good for consumers. We can expect further lowering of prices of petroleum products(except that war in Iran will also lead to rise in prices of products) |

pluto09:Maybe I need to find about this forbearance thing but CBN is making it look like the banks are sort of distressed or incapable of fulfilling their obligations.. hope this doesn't cause some panic in the system |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38: 7:23pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
Mpeace:Their MAJOR downside are not their downstream sector competitors, but other sectors of the economy.. Manufacturing/Telcos and other heavyduty PMS/Diesel dependants companies like MTN, betaglass, etc need not go to Total or Conoil to buy as 3rd party. They can now go directly to purchase from source-- DR. The Major Marketers can still play the second card..not every station can afford offtake of 500,000litres at a stretch with bank credit guarantee.. They should have the advantage of having PMS all year round unlike others.. |

With this move, he has just succeeded in finally running fuel importers out of business. The marketers who go to Lagos to buy from them will now have Dangote delivering fuel directly to their stations at no cost. It's a similar distribution model for his cement business. chimex38: |
