Ella is going above 5. The twitter space shared a lot of insight. I like the fact that they have been focused with their core operations and not PR. If indeed this is true; getting to 10 is very close. Secondly, I like the fact of Mordi’s transparency as regards business status quo. Not so impressed with the progress so far but with the understanding that this is a long term business not short term profit or (dividend reward). He placed emphasis on the directors goodwill to turn the company around and circumstances that has taken them uptill this moment. As regards the CPO mill commissioning this I consider a very good news. He also talked about partnership with other producers to use the mill to keep the mill up to full capacity. The progress in Pig farming is also understandable I know many business in Nigeria with little or no PR doing well. I think no point confusing or convincing anyone on this neither is there even a need to respond. Personally and if indeed he’s honest with what said today, I will call it a BUY |

Streetinvestor2:Baba say he enjoy using block button, I’m sorry my helper pls don’t block me. You can check when this profile was registered, so die down that thought of known moniker using a burner. You didn’t start asking questions now, agreed! But why are you still asking us when the management dedicated 2hours of their time providing clarity and answering questions from investors. Why didn’t you ask them? |

Is it really that easy to collect other people's money? Perhaps Ellah will get to 5. Or even 10! But it'll not be the fundamentals that drive the stock there for the next few years. To claim that management is transparent doesn't even pass the laugh test. They have consistently over-promised and under-delivered over the years. Investors have short memories. Remember those 500 pigs they had? Well, they've "culled" them pigs; the herd was too local and unproductive, apparently, so they now have to breed improved pigs. No more revenue from pigs till 2026 or later. So focus on oil palm, now that Presco is all the rage. I looked up a series of satellite imagery of the Edo plantation from 2024 and 2025, using the rough location the company was shamed into disclosing. (It's not hard; drop these coordinates into Google Maps and Google Earth, then zoom in: 6°01'46.9"N 5°51'31.8"E.) If I have the right plantation, which was the only one within 2400 hectares square space from the Oben gas plant, a number of observations: - There are actually plantings of oil palm. You can see the fronds if you zoom into the cleared area. Optimal industry practice is to space oil palm trees about 9m apart, and you can confirm that is the rough spacing using the Measure Distance feature on Google Maps. - The planted area seems well short of 500 hectares the company now claims. (First, they only disclosed they had 2400 hectares total, but had cleared 900 hectares.) My best estimate, again using the MD feature to gauge the planted area (which has some error), is about 200 hectares. And I was being extremely generous. - The planted area does NOT seem to have changed meaningfully from 2024. Maybe they are counting the seedlings in their nursery. Bottom line, this company get k-leg. Their short-term strategy seems to be to book revenue from milling last-last, raise new equity, then sort out the actual plantation over the coming years. Maybe they'll get there. But that road long. I'd rather stay with Presco. nosa2: handsomebolanle:

We're entering a new market phase of VUCAD (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity, and Disruption), fueled by escalating global tensions. Amidst the ongoing 'dividend war' between the CBN and financial institutions, investors are reassessing their strategies. Meanwhile, global conflicts persist, from the US contagious protests to the Israel-Iran conflict, Russia-Ukraine, and Pakistan-India tensions. Despite these challenges, the NGX has shown resilience. Investors should remain patient, avoiding impulsive decisions and allowing traders to capitalise on market volatility; they would surely come back to buy at a premium price. Prepare for the VUCAD market by staying informed and strategic. If you have access to foreign markets, consider Oil and Gas ETFs, Defense and AI ETFs https://youtube.com/shorts/3Fg4ZQS2KlE?si=zoHWiwV4R65abqtL

I really don't get this Government policies. First it was for Federal government to rake in so much from gains made by banks on FX. Then they asked for recapitalization. Though, banks are still trying to meet up with this exercise. The CBN now dropped another bombshell to temporary stop dividend, bonuses and foreign investment. All these are geared to bring banking sector to its knees. Who are the investors that will partonize those that are yet to complete their recapitalization exercise. Is it ghost that will buy into these banks. Congratulations to Zenith, Access and any other that had meet up with the recapitalization drive. Though, that is not a guarantee that they will not feel the pain when dumping start. I will only watch to know where all this will lead to. Greatly anticipating the banking sector direction and generally the market as a whole as it opens this morning. |

Agbalowomeri:There’s a renaissance capital document that explains it. GT seems to be safest. Fidelity, FirstHoldCo, Zenith, UBA , Access are affected in that order. I’ll mostly be holding my banking stocks…but I’ll buy access if it dips.

Amidst the CBN regulatory landscape, UCAP plc stands out as a promising asset on the NGX for building generational wealth. Dig deeper, uncover the truth, and make informed decisions to secure your financial future. With ongoing diversification efforts, UCAP plc's story is poised to take a positive turn in the next five years, offering patient investors potential long-term benefits. With less CBN oversight and restriction they may likely succeed in their ongoing expansion in West African markets, potentially introducing foreign ETFs and indexes to their portfolio and positioning the company as Nigeria's equivalent of Vanguard, Fidelity, Schwab, MSCI, or Investec. Watch out for UCAP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cl90h_EKgL8?si=lr_iKohWk7S3N379 |

Banking stocks are the best in the Nigerian Stock Exchange,so fret not about the latest CBN forbearance news. I'm of the view some dividend investors are targeting these fundamentally sound stocks. |

Oil @ $75 Crude prices have pulled back from five-month highs right above the $75.00 level on Monday, but they remain 12% above the levels seen one month ago, boosted by investors’ concern about supply disruptions stemming from the Iran-Israel war. |

On ellahlakes, I don't think it will be necessary again visiting the farm.I have been able to arrive at my concern. Why the management has been economical with the size of cultivated palm farm and not just Landbank. This could be equally the reason why all is converting thr loan to equity. They obviously don't see the farm able to pay back in cash soon. This is my opinion |
