As long as ELLAH mgt do a good job taking off into growth it’s good. In successful ventures the growth phase returns profit that multiplies money like x10 in a shorter period than more mature businesses. New ventures also carry risk of failure. But if there is no failure money multiples like x10 in less than a decade.

Along with using q1 results and lets not forget, the first report created over the weekend included GTCO and Stanbic IBTC wrongly.
If I were those banks I may seek the court’s justice for misinformation huh undecided

The current discount in the banking sector presents an opportunity for discerning investors to strike a bargain🉐 Here are some notable stocks: R/I vs CP
- UBA: N35 R/I→ N34.10 🉐 (discounted)
- Access Bank: N19.75 → N20.50🉐
- Zenith Bank: N36 → N47✔️
- Stanbic: N50.5 → N79.35✔️ might be heading to km N100
- FBN: N25 → N26.50🉐
- Fidelity: N9.25 →🉐 N18.30✔️
- GTCO: Public offer at N44.50 → Current price N71.50✔️
This downturn if persist could offer another window for investors with legacy portfolios to consolidate.

What a great time to be a Nigerian! We're becoming self-taught experts in finance, auditing, accounting, and investment banking, all in our effort to create a legacy portfolio and a generational wealth.
The RENCAP publication offers valuable insights, advising us to look beyond banks' accounting profits, which may be unrealised, and focus on cash profits instead. Notably, Stage 2 loans can lead to forbearance issues, especially when banks have substantial unrealised accounting profits

With this latest clarification about the banks. Expect the price of GTCO and Stanbic IBTC to soar today. I also believe all the affected banks to come out and explain to the investing public what they are doing about their forbearance loans. I already had calculated what am expected to get in interim dividends from Banking sector before this "below- the- belt- hit". Well, i will make do with my tasere units of GTCO. But, i keep wondering why Zenith Bank kept winning the best bank back to back. Yet, they failed to make provision for this forbearance loan. I was actually hoping that Zenith Bank will start playing catch-up with GTCO. But, with this latest scenario, the gap will widen more. We keep our fingers crossed and watch how events unfolds. I am also able to gather UBA is in a better position than Zenith, Firstholding coy and Accesscorp. The paying dividend from other subsidiaries is a ruse. Everyone knows the Banking subsidiaries are the stronghold of these companies. I also watches in anticipation of how those coming to the market for recapitalized will be received. cool

Lesson learnt: Diversification of portfolio is paramount. Thou shall also not panic to sell good stocks because of a temporary setbacks.

@ Agbalomoweri, GTCO will not be coming to your bus stop. You should consider Access, Firstholdco, FCMB, Fidelity, UBA or Zenith Bank. I am sure within the one hour of opening of the market you will get a bargain price. grin grin grin

This is not true, have you seen their NPL coverage ratio. They’re in the best position to clear any bad loans, they’d have sorted it by H1.
They had about N700bn in impairment charge last year and still made over N1trn PAT.
I think they’ll be fine also

Every buyer is not buying at the same crash point and every seller is not selling at the same panic point .

Everyone has their meeting points of tolerance
