Since I bought a car, I started finding it very hard to date a man who does not have a car. In my head, I am usually imagining how the experience will be like. Will I be parking my car at home while we use taxi to go out on dates or will I carry my car, probably drop him at him place after the date before going home instead of the other way round and being the one driving a man🧐

See ehh, is not like there’s anything wrong about a man not having a car at the moment but, it became weird for me to date one. There’s one I met few days ago, from my observation and our conversation, the guy is okay o. His only offense was just that, he does not own a car and I felt like it was affect my steeze🤣

This was previously not a problem for me at all when I didn’t have a car and I know there are woman who naturally don’t like dating men who do not own a car despite not having and it is still very VALID but my own issues about it started since I bought a car and I don’t know why.

I feel like; being the one to drive a man up and down is a masculine trait and i want to be feminine 😂😂

One thing that also scare me about this, is that, a lot of Nigerian mèn have insecurîty issues. Situation like this may bruisè the ego of an insècure man and he will start telling you “is it because you have a car in every little misunderstanding”.

I don't think that is abnormal or the lady is abnormal. As a man, one of the fine ways to provide a necessary comfort to your lady is to drive her in your car if you have one. But siting beside her when she drives her own car is somehow not dignifying.

I think it's okay for a woman to potentially dignity her future man by setting standards, and setting them at her level or above hers.

But if man set the same standard , that he's not going to date a broke ladies .... hope you know what that implies because we always support one side of issue because it suit our narrative

In this instance I beg to disagree. I'm of the opinion that she should downplay things a bit first. Let her find out if the guy is someone with a prospect. Which means on date night or date events, she should ditch her car and just use public Trans or Uber for that day. Once she confirms that the guy has prospect, she can go ahead and keep the friendship. She should get past that idea of not dating men without cars cos she might miss her man without knowing.

Fellas, this is one of the reasons why men do not want women who have more than them. Women are hypergamous in nature and if they believe they are above you in any sphere, they will ditch you and look for someone who is on their level or someone who is above them. An African proverb says, its better to make one 100 men millionaires than to make 1000 women millionaires because for me, it means they will make 100 women millionaires but 1000 millionaire women will not make 100 men millionaires.
