Streetinvestor2:@Sunrisepebble is perhaps right. It's been on the RENCAP news on nairametrics.. Someone even posted the link on this thread few days ago. About $910million in one nairametrics link and another $1.6bn in another. https://nairametrics.com/2025/06/16/cbn-forbearance-new-rencap-report-names-banks-facing-dividend-suspension-till-2028/

Streetinvestor2:I agree... Why not use forex one off gain and clear half of not all of the exposure.. To even recall the forex forfeiture ti FG was moved from 30% to 70% by NASS is unfortunate.. I still blame the banks a bit, they could have voiced out in unison using this forbearance skeleton in their cupboard as a legitimate excuse to cut down the 70% windfall request before surrendering. |

chimex38:Perhaps some of the news are just junks from the analysts. Zenith has booked the heaviest loan loss impairments over the last three years of N1.2 Trillion. 2022 N123 b 2023 N410 b 2024 N659 b I will believe what Zenith says that in less than 2 weeks it ain't got any issue that will hold back Interim dividend payment come September 2025 I thought the Zenith impairments were crazy before the CBN circular. Now it doesn't look that crazy again. |

I feel sterling bank is the most jijo'ed banking stock, all it's colleagues has left it behind. 2024 audited result/q1 we never see I don't know how it's RI will be subscribed... |

bastardson:Lol This guy don load access I do not know why no one is talking about UBA on this forbearance issue. Even the bank has not deemed it fit to make any publication. What is the position of UBA on this issue |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by starpower(m): 8:03am On Jun 19, 2025 |
Sunrisepebble:abi. Oga try looking at transnational Corporation(transcorp) conglomerate discount. Think there is a huge opportunity there. They will receive up to 32 billion in dividend income and management fee from their subsidiaries. This real earnings not like that of last year with sales of shares. |

I own Transcorp, but only about 300k or so units, was thinking of selling even at a loss to load more Cadbury but I will wait till 9M 25 to see starpower: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by stcool(m): 8:37am On Jun 19, 2025 |
bastardson:No need to push SP and I don't see that happening soon. E get as them take dey trade this Access despite their good balance sheet. Last year the market felt they are stingy with dividend....if they pay up to N3 dividend in total this year, keep accumulating below N25 |

Sunrisepebble:I am equally surprised that many will think the cbn has taken this noble action that will eventually lead to stronger banks just because they wanted to crash banks share prices. |

starpower:What is your proposition on these, is it to take position? knowing forebearance may affect it stand on dividend distribution, or you just follow the money. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 8:56am On Jun 19, 2025 |
The bulk of that expected dividend would have come from UBA? but with this forbearance issue, that one don carry k-leg already. starpower: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by starpower(m): 9:10am On Jun 19, 2025 |
GeeKudi:no. Just around 2 billion. It charging 5% on subsidiary net profit before tax(estimated 5% 200billion forward earnings), then 74% of transcorp hotel dividend declared, 51% of transcorp power dividend declared. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by starpower(m): 9:15am On Jun 19, 2025 |
fashionnisir:. The company is undervalued based on the aggregated value of it subsidiary but it might take time to correct that value discrepancies. Market in the long run is a weighing machine. Can just try to check what value is stocked there. Not giving buying or selling guidance am not a professional advisor. Enthusiasts only. But it conglomerate discount is wide around 80%. Should be around N100 on my rough estimate. The market valuing it on dividend payment. They can't pay dividend until all there subsidiaries pay. On my ideas my waiting may take 24months. |
