Forbearance.

So, which bank will not meet up this CBN forbearance? I have read statements issued by Zenith, Access, Fidelity, FCMB and even First Holdco all claiming to meet up this forbearance before June 30th 2025. That now leaves only UBA. So, if I am to go by all I read. Why did CBN created unnecessary panic in the sector?

Sorry to hear that.
It has happened to me once, especially when I am conducting trades on small screen devices while being slightly distracted.
If your online broker app has a confirm page you can always look at it again before placing the trade.

With regard to that stock, you could keep the cash aside from the sale and buy the same number of shares when the price has dropped to ~ 96% of what you sold it for (that is to offset the cost of commissions) and buy your desired additional units as well. I don't see most of those share prices 'blowing up' before Q2 results are released.
You get it. I was in transit and using my phone.

I'd wait for a pullback. Maybe when the JIJO gangs are taking profits.

The interim dividend is going to be close to N1 this year.

Any of the interim-dividend-paying-bank that fails to pay interim dividend after H1 results had been released must still be sinking in CBN forbearance. This will be the only way to judge them. Not on the beautiful PR released by the banks. Firstholdco can't be judge by this since it had long stopped the payment of interim dividend. I also believe the information can be gotten from H1 results. Hence, expect a delay from H1 reports from banks. wink cheesy grin

You're right!

Interim dividend is a measurement of the reliability or efficiency of these banks.

If this is going to be possible. Then this will be a time for jijo with Access Bank. Convert all my Zenith and GTCO to Access (because Zenith & GTCO may not pay more than N1 interim dividend). After chopping a huge interim with Access, convert from Access back to Zenith and GTCO (even with a possibility of more units as there is bound to be pull-back). Sense no go kill me. grin grin grin ;
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 9:49am On Jun 20, 2025
MTN is expensive at this price. Only maybe 10 or 20% gain left in it. Unless H1 result is far better than expected

Likely to see a pull back for ellahlakes at this 4.8 price. Possible to take some profits.
It is an area of constant resistance.
It faced a resistance at this price in sept-24 and Oct-24
This is the third time testing this area but with the volume been observed, we will see if this line of resistance obey the law of polarity where price breaks above and it becomes a support.

Agbalomoweri, you could be right here. I have been a very long term investor. But, recently i pulled up a stunt in trading and hit it very big. I now thought i had been wasting my time on this long term investment.

CBN never said the banks will not be able to pay. CBN only said that they must take care of that before any dividend payments and other stuffs. It was those that like sensational news reporting like Renaissance capital that said most of the banks wont be able to pay till 2028.

So we cannot question whether they have kept to their promise or not
