Locotrader:Countries also raise money to continue operations. Nothing wrong in raising capital as long as it's put to productive use. The stock markets exist not just that we can make money, but that the companies too can raise funds and economies to grow. Little wonder a country’s GDP can track the stock market and vice versa. We as investors contribute to this growth by buying a stake in the companies we hold. It's not gambling as someone once put it, it’s we helping companies with good models to flourish and the sick ones that they are exposed. The stock markets are a beautiful mix of common sense, knowledge, fear, and greed. Often its like a phatomine and we all need to sieve through it all. Time only tells which side of the spectrum at any point in time, an investor/trader has fallen. Except those that are privileged to have insider information, the rest must sweat it out through due dilligenge backed by research. A Billion Naira holding in Presco today, could well have been an investment of a few Millions years back. Our prayer, May God grant us life to reap the fruits of our investments; for with time, many will become Billionaires through the Ngx. May we all prosper. |

aj8:Oga why you dey write thesis for practical things? Why you dey compare rats with rabbits? In as much as I believe Ellah is a growth stock, plenty things needs to be done Why did they choose the option of diluting shares when they can sell commercial papers? Did others start by diluting shares? Check the outstanding shares of okomu and presco and check that of Ellah.Cant you see they are not in the same league? My problem now is Ellah's latest results is not good, what prompted the rapid rise in price? When the audited result is announced in the next few months, this same share price will nose dive. They should do well and sell commercial papers. This is the only news I will appreciate than doing right issue or private placement/ public offer. I have to thank Ellah for rewarding me to where I think I can stop until I see the next line of action which must be a positive one that can impact on the top and bottom lines. |

moneymanager:There’s a mix up there though and this is probably also the fault of the NNPC’s lack of transparency. The NNPC official could not explain properly to the senate how they spent over a 100 trillion in the period . If you dig deep into the story, you’ll see both the NNPC official and the senate committee are confused. “It is clear that N210 trillion is not missing. The figure is a combination of accrued expenses and receivables, transactions that should cancel out each other once fully reconciled. The Senate’s main concern is (and should be) about the financial process and transparency. They believe it is a serious lapse for such large transactions to be published in an audit report without proper governance approvals”. Locotrader:Theoretically and as an academic exercise, don't you think a commercial paper as money market instrument with short term tenure would require them to pay off the interest and principal after just one year while equity shares would give them more freedom and room to manage their liquidity and working capital better? |

mikeapollo:Companies that issues commercial papers has their shareholders interest in mind. With undiluted shares, they can pay good dividend to shareholders. If okomu and presco decide to dilute shares today, their dividend yields will reduce drastically. Ellah has raised money several times by issueing shares.Since they are now productive as claimed, they should find alternatives to raise funds than diluting shareholders value. |

This popoola name, I once encounter the name in uyo. What was your intended purpose of buying them? Have you met your target price? What do you intend to do once sold, can you get the said coys back after sale? Do you want to consider another coy(s)? There is no direct answer, it depends on you objectives popoolaRofiat: |

Locotrader:I was a bit surprised when the CEO mentioned they were prioritising equity fundraising over debt. That said, it's still early days for the company, and the road ahead is long. I exited my position at N4.29 and may consider re-entering in the future. For now, I see several mature companies trading at deeply discounted valuations, and I can't justify tying up capital in what is essentially still a startup. |

Ourown:If you invest that money in Cileasing at this time, you will live to thank Loco all the days of your life. Note: Don't take this advice as a monkey hunting advice but check Nigeria economy and the prospects of Cileasing in Nigeria economy in 2025 and beyond. |

Ourown:If I have such money and don't know anything about stock business .What to buy will not be my immediate concern and 12 months. I will spend time to learn the basic maths of the business since Internet has made it easier not like when I started many yrs back. Opportunities will always be in the market at various time as preservation of capital is most important |
