bastardson:How are you stuck? The price has not moved up or down significantly so you can still sell at current price. The loss or profit should not be more than 10%, It's a question of whether you can enter another to recover the loss. FWIW I am in chams but already offloaded 50% of my holding. |

bastardson:That is all the more reason you diversify. If you lose in Chams, you gain elsewhere, it is two things: cut your loss (which can't be more than 10%) or you average down waiting for opportunity to exit. I was caught up in the web like that when Cutix gave 1 for 1 bonus. I bought expensive and shortly the price began failing, I continued averaging (it wasn't really easy). I am now an investor in Cutix. I am now at my cost price. Still holding on for a little gain before I exit. ![]() |

So finally, USA strikes Iran. And Iran that we all know will surely react one way or the other. Hmmm. Oil prices may rise, fuel prices may rise too. I hope this does not have any effect on inflation, tc stability and our consumer goods stocks. |

While it seems the effect of the Israel-Iran War will ean high oil prices we also must consider the ripple effect this has on a moneconomy like Nigeria that very much dependent largely on oil for its source of revenue. Oil companies get to sell at high price but goods and services also rise cause this economy is susceptible to price shocks and America’s continued interest in the Gulf region. The US striking Iran to me is UNCALLED FOR |

mikeapollo:If truely there are mining taking place, and johnpaul has operational success ,these would have been good time to invest more due to increase in spot prices of gold and uncertainty caused by of US involving in iran war and it trade war with china, japan and EU. Gold is XAU/USD 3368.75 Investing in Gold ETF will be better alternative.

Agbalowomeri:Yes, that shows they have the capacity to pay back and the business is viable. No bank would give such new loans to a business without due diligence and some level of assurance that the business can pay back. Oando will overcome the indebtedness butbit msy tskevdone time. Some loans were obtained fromtheir customers so will be setttled by sales of crude to them. |

Agbalowomeri:Yes they took more.which is ok because it is tied to crude reserve. They have capacity to service it and pay back. The paid 400 million dollars in 5 yrs with low oil price. They collect 325 million for working capital |

Agbalowomeri:Imagine if oil price remains in the #75 dollars above for the next 5 yrs because Israel will still attack another country once you become a threat Abi America fit attack China..lol I hope you remember part of the big problem was the crash in oil price after the first loan. And over paying for the first asset by oando. I wonder how he came up with such valuation for the first acquisition....lol. I still get oando I bought #18 then with my analogue broker ...100k units |

GeneralDae:The Strait of Hormuz! Strategic Importance The Strait of Hormuz is a vital waterway connecting the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman, playing a crucial role in global oil trade. It's a significant chokepoint for oil exports from countries like Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. Geopolitical Significance The Strait of Hormuz has been a focal point of geopolitical tensions, particularly between Iran and Western countries. The strait has been subject to various incidents, including naval confrontations and threats of closure. Economic Impact Any disruption to oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz can have significant economic implications, including: 1. Oil price volatility: Disruptions can lead to sharp increases in oil prices. 2. Global Economic Impact: Higher oil prices can affect economic growth, inflation, and trade balances. The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical component of global energy security, and its stability is essential for maintaining a stable global economy. |
