Streetinvestor2:The truth is always bitter! USA and Israel are both war morgering nations; instead of dialogue, both Israel and the USA attacked Iran. I believe they have met their match; unlike in the case of Palestine. |

Mpeace:I don't get it; Why would they need FG approval to transition to the PIB/PIA in order to enjoy a lower tax rate ? The PIA is a law and should be applied automatically to all relevant stakeholders in the petroleum industry? |

ositadima1:True. NNPC is also a big partner in most of their recent deals especially in gas operations. |

GeneralDae:This also applies to Oando, as I often see people quoting the quantity of crude in acquired wells. The truth is, none of these companies actually own the crude oil or gas in the ground. What they own are the rights to extract these resources—not the resources themselves. |

EDUECO:Instead of Dialogue you said...but the Iranians refused to come to the negotiation table (Trump said he gave them 60 days which expired). Also, you didn't say anything about the groups they have been sponsoring to attack the two countries. |

NSEstudent:Is it not USA that is destabilizing other countries? The USA and Israel have caused more conflicts than Iran. Lybia, Afghanistan and Iraq are recent examples of nations the USA has destabilized. |

Streetinvestor2:Don't let western propaganda confuse you;Iran is still in possession of sophisticated missiles the USA and Israel have not discovered. In the Nigerian Stock Market, Fidelity Bank is like Iran and First Bank is like the USA/Israel For the past 10 years, Fidelity Bank has done better than First Bank with respect to both dividend and capital appreciation. |

megawealth01:No it has nothing to do with man no man. Without going into the jargons, at conversion there is an approval for you to convert. At that point of conversion you decide which of the fiscal regime you want. There is impact on royalty, profit tax, Investment tax credit etc. |

KarlTom:You seriously think they have that capacity to enforce it? Are you aware China that has good relations would also be affected since they buy crude oil from Iran.. possibly also Russia their ally? You sha read that it still has to be approved by higher power (Ayatollah I believe)? They'd better not incur the wrath of Trump. Russia and China will only verbally condemn USA if at all.. neither will get involved militarily |

EDUECO:You too like to play.Someone was precise in destroying you nuclear plants, scientists and military generals within few days. They eliminated your defence system. You president has gone underground and made himself incommunicado. Instead to say I am sorry. You are throwing knock out all over thr country hoping it will hit civilian population. Why not target thr military back.It proves you are a terrorist. Why target civilian population. |

wanaj0:I think Seplat has settled all debts to govt. They appear to even have a tax credit. Abi na me no understand this language on the screenshot? I understood it to mean that the govt is owing Seplat in billions of Naira, rather than the other way round. https://nairametrics.com/2025/03/16/alleged-debt-seplat-and-chorus-energy-pay-n28-7-billion-to-nigerias-federation-account-reps/

mikeapollo:Sir, go and read the financial report very well! In that financial report, it was stated clearly that OandO has a $50m facility with Ecobank and they are already in DEFAULT. Ecobank is now trying to restructure. When you see Ecobank Nigeria performing poorly compared with other ETI subsidiaries it is because of companies like OandO! From the financial statement, according to the auditors, the group recorded 1) Comprehensive loss of N83bn 2) Negative operating cashflow of N531.2bn 3) Current liabilities exceeded its current assets by N3.3 Trillion 4) Funding gap of N4.3 Trillion 5) If all plans are successful, it will address only 11.4% and 8.4% of the 2025 and 2026 funding gap! OandO right now is financially insolvent! As per the various deals, nothing new. From the Abo acquisition, to the listing on Johannesburg stock exchange to the reverse acquisition on Toronto Stock exchange to the Conoco philips acquisition etc none has delivered value to shareholders. Like the auditors stated OandO continue to make losses year on year! |
