Different blocs are under different contracts. From JV, to PSC to RSC etc. The contracts defines the rights and entitlements.
In all the contract types, none of the companies own the oil or gas. The proceeds are shared, with Nigeria taking the lion’s share, while the company receives a portion as compensation for the risks and costs incurred. If I’m not mistaken, the Joint Venture (JV) arrangement is the closest to actual ownership, where companies can receive up to 45% of the production—after deducting costs, taxes, and royalties, which still go to the government.

He is not aware that Israel has taken over the skies of Iran. Iran has just been wasting missiles, 95% of all missiles they fire are being intercepted by the Israeli Sky defence.

The level of damage in Iran now cannot even be announced by the Iranian govt. Israel attacks are more targeted and precise.

Their supreme leader is anticipating death already, he has already recommended 3 other leaders in case he is assasinated anytime soon. 4 of their leader were eliminated under 48 hours. Internet was shut down for over 48 hours in Iran.

Iran needs to be tamed. News has it that they plan to develop atleast 300 missiles monthly. This is a threat to the world at large.

No country will back Iran because they seem to be the one financing terrorism in many other countries.

Crude oil belongs to Nigeria (unlike other businesses where there is a cost of goods), and it remains a major source of national revenue—even though Seplat does a good job of extracting and selling it.
How much did Oando pay in taxes.....oh ic they keep making loses! cool

Sir, go and read the financial report very well!

In that financial report, it was stated clearly that OandO has a $50m facility with Ecobank and they are already in DEFAULT. Ecobank is now trying to restructure. When you see Ecobank Nigeria performing poorly compared with other ETI subsidiaries it is because of companies like OandO!

From the financial statement, according to the auditors, the group recorded

1) Comprehensive loss of N83bn
2) Negative operating cashflow of N531.2bn
3) Current liabilities exceeded its current assets by N3.3 Trillion
4) Funding gap of N4.3 Trillion
5) If all plans are successful, it will address only 11.4% and 8.4% of the 2025 and 2026 funding gap!

OandO right now is financially insolvent!

As per the various deals, nothing new. From the Abo acquisition, to the listing on Johannesburg stock exchange to the reverse acquisition on Toronto Stock exchange to the Conoco philips acquisition etc none has delivered value to shareholders. Like the auditors stated OandO continue to make losses year on year!
Lol! grin
You are entitled to your opinion.
The stocks market is not only about buying stocks that are doing well currently with good fundamentals . It also involves taking calculated risks and positioning oneself in stocks in key sectors that are undervalued due to some temporary challenges.
No company listed in the upstream oil sector of the NGX has ever been liquidated or collapsed because of insolvency or bankruptcy. In the worst case scenario, Oando would be acquired by another upstream company and the net worth will be more than N200 per share.
The company has reserves that can generate net casflows of $11billion i.e. about N17 trillion!

At a time, BCC (Benue Cement Co.) was selling for about N2-N3 per share when it was struggling facing huge financial challenges and it was acquired by Dangote Cement. Go check the price today.
That is how some people make their billions for ever in the market.
What is required is enough capital injection to turn things around.
Never say never in the NGX!

one way or the other they will be forced to protect themselves for waterbody attacks ,so no free movement along that axis, anything that moves is taken down.
It’s not even that difficult. Placing just a single underwater mine in the strait is enough. All ship insurers will jack up insurance rates and even decline insuring that route, making the route financially unviable.

It will take less than 24 hours to close it if Iran wants to. Only problem is they also have oil to sell, so how do they sell their own too

Is it not USA that is destabilizing other countries?

The USA and Israel have caused more conflicts than Iran.

Lybia, Afghanistan and Iraq are recent examples of nations the USA has destabilized.
I like how you refused to answer the question of the terror-sponsorship of Iran. It says something.

I know the ills of the US in those places you mentioned and those are well documented.

That is what we call scarity, demand and supply cames to play, those who have sell higher, there will be high demand , they can't afford to sell when they is war, because of increase of sea pirate who strives in choes.

Thank you for your feedback; your point is well-taken. I was only joking about your 'jump in and jump out' strategy based on my observations. Nevertheless, I'd like to suggest that you consider opening a dedicated investment account for long-term compounding, specifically for your kids' future. As the saying goes, 'If you weren't born into wealth, then wealth must be born out of you.'
I've found it helpful to set aside certain units in my investment account for long-term growth. For example, as of May 31st, 2025, I held 2.5 million units of Ellah Lake at an average purchase price of N3.60. After a thorough review, I sold 2 million units at an average of N4.9, leaving 500,000 units for long-term holding. This remaining stake could potentially yield significant returns if Ellah Lake performs well or is acquired at a premium.
I've had similar success with penny stocks turning into blue chips, such as Transcorps, Honeyflour, and Ikeja Hotels. I highly recommend reading investment literature and listening to educational audiobooks to manage impulses and emotions, which can be detrimental to long-term compounding.
Please kindly recommend some.

Additionally, they'll be bombed to ruins and rubble if they do so.
