One of the challenges self-investors face is trying to time the market, over relying on TA. As Warren Buffett wisely said, 'The best time to invest in a stock was 20 years ago. The next best time is now.' It's about seizing opportunities rather than waiting for the perfect moment.
#Seize the day.

Locotrader:
It is better you see how many units you can get now because waiting for Ci leasing pullback means you have to observe the rally and then buy from the pullback which will be higher than the current price.

I failed to get all my champion at once when it was selling for 3.85 but I ended up averaging up at 6.70.

Let this not be your case because it gonna be real

Proverbs 13:22 reminds us, 'A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, (2 generations) but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.' This verse underscores the lasting impact of righteous living, where a good person prioritises not only their family's immediate needs but also the well-being of future generations.

The only legacy I will leave for my children is good education. They will build their empire themselves on my platform.

The "major pipeline vandalism they were battling in Q1" reported by yourself a while back, is obvious in this result. smiley

If they have now been able to achieve 34kboe which was their 2024 exit production rate in Q2, then Q2 should be much better. I assume pipelines have now been fixed. In fact, I expect 34kboe should be a base rate not target.

I could be totally wrong with this one but I'm inclined to think the tax credit might be related to reimbursement of JV infrastructure repair costs. huh huh Industry upstream GM is about 50% if I'm not mistaken so reporting a loss is very unusual.
This makes the tax credit meaningful if so.

Imagine if I have 100% portfolio in Ellah.
I for retire at 45.

Let me see where my C and C can take me to.
You would have retired a long time ago if you could forsee the future, sir.

Your 15million units of FCMB in 2016 (you bought at N0.90-N1.10) would have comfortably become N180million in December 2023.

Your 21 million units of Transcorp in 2023/24 (you bought around N1.10-N1.70) would have comfortably become N378million within the same 2024 and maybe would have dropped to N210million by now if you didn't sell.

Even if your roughly N50million dividend from FCMB over the years was what you used to buy Ellah Lakes and stayed as an investor till the end of this year, you will comfortably be sitting on an investment portfolio of over N500million. You would have given less money to your brokers, and would have done less work, would have needed fewer posts aimed at convincing people to join your train. You for don dey the 20%+ FGN bonds forum dey plan how to set up a pension plan for yourself by now.

This is a very conservative estimation of how your portfolios would have grown, assuming you did not take advantage of any of the many opportunities mentioned here over the last 9 years.

I like your personality and I'm a fan of yours, so this is not to fault your approach to trading/investing. Some of us dey learn here based on the experience of the elders. I learnt from your massive cash out from Chams too.

All na true.
Nobody sees it all.
Nobody knows it all.
The market is gradually peaking.
There is no more stock to jump in and out.
The ones we have entered should be kept till peak.

Succinct

Oando H1 result will definitely be massive considering the resumption of the operations on those pipelines and some workover activities on NAOC assets.
Renaissance already indicated 40% increment on production on SPDC asset they acquired. I want to believe Oando will have more if they are transparent enough. I personally work on some of those fields.
Give or Take, Oando will definitely repeat last year rally in near future.
They may surprise the market by releasing H1 next month or early August latest. Will be good to see increased production, good cash flow and sustained profits.

One important question to always ask oneself is: "is my money working for me, or I am working hard to make my money earn me little change here and there?"

Marathon or multiple sprints? Choose which one aligns with your goals and blood pressure level.

The volumes in NB is so huge.....
Massive funds entering that stock...
Needs to break out from its 58/59 junction and close the gap with Guinness.....

PZ: huge volumes in cross deals at circa 38.75/39....
With Cadbury and Unilever moving, it's just a matter of time that PZ will catch up...... all things being equal.

One of the signs of market peak is there are more investors than traders.
Traders don't find it favourable moving from one stock to the other because of fear of missing out.
Instead they keep on pumping money in what they have.If there is pullback, they will still prefer dealing on the same stock until they finally Japaa.
We have roughly 1.6 months for stocks to peak.If the coalition gains momentum, their will likely be bearish market during pre and post election.

People will like to Japaa before 2027 election fever starts.

So everyone should enjoy bull now to the fullest

This market is making me nervous. I'm usually a contrarian investor, buying out-of-favour, high-quality stocks when the market is focused elsewhere. I don't like it when I buy a stock and it jumps the next day.

A bull market is clearly brewing, and people get careless in bull markets, calling zero-revenue companies the next unicorn. Beware.

It is not out of order for a contrarian investor to be nervous in bull markets.
The market is entering a new gear but the problem with this kind of bull is that nobody knows how short or long it will last.

Anyone that misses this time has to stay for another 3-5 years to buy at the peak of bears.

You will be surprise that Ellah lakes you are seeing today and become nervous may be trading at over N12 at the end of July.Likewise other stocks and you will continue to be nervous.

The bull has come.
It's not everyone that made the money in 2008.
Neither will all make it in 2025/2026.

Those that took advantage of 2008 made use of their money and became so large in our today's society.

Loco will not misused any opportunity seen in this bull for the next 10 years.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by debeey87(m): 4:42pm On Jun 25, 2025
What happened with Eterna will likely happen with Ellahlakes.

During the downstream sector bull, eterna tagged along all the way to where it is today where price doesn't match current valuation but only sentiment. Similarly that contagion effect from PRESCO and okomu will carry it high, how high before it takes some break and corrects is left to be seen.

Meanwhile, Champion has an ATH of 17+ naira, technical analyst pls how far can we go from here given the resistance levels around 11, 12 and 13.4. Thank you sirs

My Thoughts as a $BLUM Miner on Passive Income in Today’s Crypto Market

I've been navigating the crypto market for a while, seen how unpredictable 2025 can be Bitcoin’s hovering around $99K, & altcoins are up & down daily. To hedge against this volatility, I started focusing on low-risk ways to earn passive income, like mining & staking.

One project I’ve been involved with is $BLUM, which I’ve been mining on Telegram for a months & it’s exciting to see it gaining traction.

$BLUM listing is confirmed for June 27, & the community’s been buzzing, trending globally recently, which shows how much support it has.
There’s also a PoolX campaign for holders and a CandyBomb event for traders, which could be interesting ways to make the most of $BLUM once it’s live.
As a telegram miner, I’m curious to see how these opportunities play out & whether they’ll add some steady value to my holdings.

For those of you mining $BLUM or exploring passive income options, what’s your take on these kinds of projects?
