Hi People, my mum and sister don’t want me to marry my girlfriend in 2 months and says some things about her background. Should I tell her and proceed with the marriage? Or do I just keep it to myself and proceed and see how things resolve?

Whether you want to marry her or not, do not tell her the negative things your mother and your sister said about her.

If you tell her the negative things your people said about her and you later marry her, she will have some ill feelings towards your people and the consequence cannot be averted.

When people around you reject your choices in marriage, it may be because they see that you are blind to the red flags in the relationship. Open your eyes and rational mind-- shut off your heart/emotions for a period --- and carefully reason your choice one more time and then another.
