Even at that, the fundraising will be in tranches over a period of time as it is very unlikely to go that big except there's an investor waiting in the wings. In that case, a small amount of shares will be offered through RI to appease existing shareholders.
Based on yesterday closing or even at #10.
What will be the present capitalization of the company. If you have 250billion won't you buy the company or go start your own farm and have plenty balance left How much is 70 million dollars that was used to buy 50% stake of such far big farm. That is still less than half of 250 billion. Do you guys think 250 billion na beans even with devaluation. Let me see how they can even raise 50 billion first via RI or PO

The old IB stock I bought long is not touched. I will decide on it after q2 results and how NB body language continues. If NB hits #80 and above Then #20 is possible based on os.i expect reconstruction by 4 in future. Not a financial advise to anyone

Ellah lake, the mkt cap or assets is not up to 25bn I think. No serious revenue yet, even banks won't lend more that 20bn to it. Common sense would have been to start up the 3 ton mill and start generating revenue, then they can come for Capital raise.

No doubt, there is a posssibility of getting things right and buy it's share at N50 might even be cheap at some point. I will say there is a lot of uncertainty but no doubt money can be made trading it but don't get trapped if things go the other way.

Maybe the 250bn might be equity investment to wilmar to enable ellah operate their assets locally.

Information from the keeper of odd knowledge. AI

The estimated cost of purchasing and installing a 3-ton capacity crude palm oil refinery in Nigeria can vary depending on several factors, including equipment type, technology, and location.

*Cost Breakdown:*

- *Equipment Cost*: For a small-scale palm oil refinery plant with a capacity of 1-20 tons per day, the cost can range from $21,000 to $655,000. Since 3 tons per day falls within this range, a rough estimate for equipment costs would be around $60,000 to $150,000.
- *Installation and Commissioning Cost*: This includes the cost of hiring engineers and local workers. Engineers' salaries and worker wages can vary, but a rough estimate for a 2-month installation period could be around $10,000 to $20,000.
- *Transportation Cost*: This depends on the location and shipping method. Let's assume a rough estimate of $5,000 to $10,000.
- *Other Costs*: Land acquisition, building construction, and utilities can add significant expenses. Assuming a small plot of land and basic infrastructure, these costs could range from $50,000 to $100,000.

*Total Estimated Cost*: Based on these rough estimates, the total cost for purchasing and installing a 3-ton capacity crude palm oil refinery in Nigeria could be around $125,000 to $280,000. However, this is a wide range and actual costs may vary depending on specific circumstances .

How will such transaction even scale through regulatory oversight? What operatorship experience do they have at Ellah to be given an entity as large as PZ Wilmar?
I think we should wait to see what M&A Ellah is planning. However in all honesty, PZ Wilmar is not in their league at all.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mankind2024: 4:41pm On Jun 28, 2025
If I partner with Locodemy and Streetinvestor, we could potentially set up three 20-ton crude palm oil refineries in Imo and Shagamu by divesting 25% of our individual portfolios.
It's interesting to note that a listed NGX company is promoting a much smaller 3-ton capacity. This contrast in scale might explain why Mr. Chuka Mordi's attempt to list Ellah Lake on the LSE was rejected a few years ago – perhaps the market was looking for more substantial operations?

The bolded gives a clear picture.
WILMAR is in same class with OKOMU and PRESCO... grin

GeeKudi:
...

✅ Summary
PZ Wilmar operates a vertically integrated palm oil enterprise in Nigeria, from large-scale plantations through to refining, packaging, and developing consumer brands. It complements this core agricultural operation with forward and backward integration, smallholder engagement, and sustainability initiatives—all underpinned by substantial foreign investment.
Let me know if you’d like to dive into production volumes, financial performance, or how PZ Wilmar stacks up against competitors like Okomu or Presco!

By the way, any positive feedback on my suggestion that you reach out to JapaulGold for a possible Twitter engagement with investors like Ellah did?

Too many red flags and controversy around Ellah lakes.

Mordi Chuka is not helping matters with his double speak. On Arise TV is was categorical about raising funds. On twitter he was not sure then

suddenly now they are raising.

I had to dump my shares cos its failing to align with my financial plans.

I wish Ellah lakes and those on board luck.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mankind2024: 7:49pm On Jun 28, 2025
The enigma that is Mr. Chuka Mordi. Who knows his birthdate? Who knows his age? It seems like he's following a similar path to Dozy Mmobuosi, raising eyebrows among investors. The infamous Tingo Farms debacle comes to mind, and the more I dig into Chuka Mordi's story, the more questions I have. Transparency, anyone?"

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mankind2024: 8:09pm On Jun 28, 2025
Chuka Mordi's interview seems more like a strategic move to lay the groundwork for the N250 billion capital raise. It's a stark reminder of Robert Kiyosaki's observation that the stock market can be a central bank for company owners to mint money – a reality that warrants closer scrutiny.
Jegede Paul might not buy into X interview.

I listened to him on Twitter. . He didn't want to offend the regulators by saying much about sale of shares since they hadn't received regulators' approvals. . He said Twitter wasn't the forum to dwell on the issue (so it wouldn't seem like he was already marketing without said requisite approvals)

Ellah stock price will certainly drop (full offer expected) next week as short term investors will sell off quickly to move elsewhere. cool

Ellah is not moved by traders. Its moved by the hands behind the rights issue. They will move it to their target price. If you know how to play the game, you will surely benefit, if not them go carry your money go.

When it comes to the future of Ellah, I see it as a target for the bigger players.

I dont know why they are trying to fly before they learn to crawl. I would have expected them to have allowed their plantation to reach max capacity before needing to raise more capital to expand (if needed).

Also one thing that stood out to me with regards the X Q&A was that he kept insisting the raising capital via equity was cheaper than raising via debt. This goes against conventional wisdom.

In any case whats the rush with the capital raise?

Na siddon look I dey sha. Right now I am out of this boat. If things become clearer I will happily jump back in. Too many cheap stocks to die on this dividend free hill
