Gen Z go hear ween! Their financial experimental lab is getting ready at No. 250 Ballistic Academy, Ellah street, behind Forced Long Term Avenue, Capital obliteration close, down town NGX. Most will become the experimental guinea pigs. Soon, Isaac will know how there are no clear rules to what can be called a sacrificial item. I foresee the investors here as the plantations. When you can't unwrap the business convincingly to your little kids, you are their products..grin

The best time to go above and beyond is in the face of controversy.

This is a critical moment for the Ella team — a unique opportunity to demonstrate excellence and prove a point. The spotlight is already on the company, and how they respond now will shape the narrative going forward.

Many organizations strive for this kind of visibility, and it’s been handed to them effortlessly. They must not let it slip away.

That is if they'll leave Cho Cho Cho and show workings

They should seize the moment and turn attention into lasting impact.

Scroll of Gain Unsealed: The last word Concerning See and Live.
Chapter 24, Verses 1–11
1. Hearken, O watchers upon the high towers of the marketplace.
Raise a shout in the courts of equity, let the alarm be heard upon the hills of capital!
The hour of unveiling draweth close, and the day of reckoning is at hand.
2. On the twenty-eighth day of the sixth moon, in the twenty-fifth year of the age,
The sealed balances shall be opened, and the accounts long hidden shall speak.
3. Behold, the first chapter of the new quarter was withheld,
For the foundation must be laid before the upper chamber may rise.
But now the root is exposed, and the branches shall bloom swiftly in the squares.
4. In a vision, I saw the light of the Naira flare on the altar of numbers,
And the value, once five and thirteen, bounded as a gazelle upon the ridge.
They who stood early shall feast on grain and wine.
5. Let the discerning take heed:
If the first burst be as lightning from the east,
Shall not the second come as a flood breaking through gates of bronze?
6. Cursed be the doubters and the latecomers!
They shall rise at the sound of profit, but the gates shall already be shut.
They shall hunt for fire, yet the embers shall have cooled.
7. Happy are the sons of insight, like Issachar, who read the signs,
And prepare their barns though the field yet sleeps.
8. Let the bulls gather without delay at the borders of see and live;
Let them claim their inheritance before the multitude awakens with longing.
9. For a channel is opened from the distant east,
And favor from foreign shores shall rest upon the vessels and leases of this house.
10. The Voice of Expansion declareth:
Make thyself ready. lo, the latter rains begin!
The fig tree puts forth her buds, and the vineyard shall not fail in its pressing.
11. Write these words plainly and let them not be concealed;
Cry them in the corridors of trade.
He that hath understanding, let him act before the sun is fully risen.

Selah. Let the bulls be summoned. grin

Ellah Lakes is not your average ticker, this one’s a certified adrenaline sport for technically inclined gladiators like BBM. It’s a sweet sandbox for rookie demos, a quick “nope” for die-hard fundamentalists like the legendary Pa Emma, and a deliciously toxic dessert for niche speculators in the school of Jijo, led by none other than Loco.
To elite level stock pickers like CP, it’s a high-frequency, blinking red zone ticker screaming “Approach with algorithmic caution!” For the uninitiated wandering in without coordinates, this thing is a fully armed GBU-57 (MOP- Massive Ordinance Penetrator), bunker buster, one wrong step, and boom, an obliteration switch with no undo button! Hiroshima grade fallout meets Chernobyl style regret.
There’s already an oversupply of empty cans standing by, just waiting for perfect delivery with sniper grade precision. Make no mistake this is not a long-term investment. This is what I call the longest-term speculation on the NGX.
Don’t quote me, I could be dead wrong until the day Ellah Lakes successfully raises capital and that funding physically lands in their corporate wallet. From then on, the Oando grade losses of those years may pale in comparison. You’ll wish the gate men at the Lakes would issue press releases, because by then, the social media enthusiasts will have achieved total cyber invisibility. No more fanciful interviews. Just dead silence.

This is my street sense.

Soliloquy!

Chuka said something during that x QnA, he said it's better to surprise the market with positive results than negative.

He value pessimistic view about ellahlakes operations than optimistic view.

He also laugh when someone mentioned that people said the farm doesn't exist before giving the address.

He was so happy and confident that if anyone wants to come to the farm that they can come and he would be happy to give them a tour.

Anyone investing in ellahlakes from day one should know it's risky because the potential rewards will be life changing if everything works out but the road wouldn't be smooth.

its interesting that people just wants the prize and not the price and it doesn't work that way anywhere in the world.

Without taking away anything from the owner, I just wondered the basis of the picks from everyone I have come across doing picks like this.

People needs to understand that investing is a serious business n shouldn't be treated as side hassle.

You just have to understand your onions because sharks exist for different reasons.

You will see someone saying he/she is protecting newbies from a particular stocks n also recommending another one with worst or similar conditions.

Someone said ellah is worst than cibex but keeps recommending c and I even without any data to justify it as good company.

Abi what do you expect from someone that just heard the sound of rain and throw away the majority of the water in the house only to come to the reality that the rain is not going to fall. You expect the same person not to have bias view? If you do, I don't.

E get as e be.

If you buy shares with max of N150 Million and you gained not more than N10 Million there will be no capital gain tax.

However, if you bought shares worth N10M and you gained more than N10 million for those that are doing 100% and above gain, you will pay tax.

But instead of cashing out, you decide to use all the sales including the gain to repurchase shares in the same calendar year, there will be no tax
The rate is not flat. It is based on your income..will be treated as personal income tax amd na from 7 to 24%.

The above is for individual investors.

You go fear corporate organization own na

Yes they are. Excerpts from the CGT section:

".........will not be charged if:
The sale proceeds are less than ₦150 million, and the chargeable gain does not exceed ₦10 million within 12 consecutive months."

As for the percentage, I'm not too sure.

If we should apply the PIT, then that puts the percentage at 21-25% as below 10m is tax free for CGT?

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mankind2024: 12:41am On Jun 30, 2025
As a self-employed who invests business proceeds in the equity market, I'm advocating for a Capital Gains Tax (CGT) over Personal Income Tax (PIT). Imposing PIT would essentially be double taxation, which I believe is unfair.

The Nigerian tax system seems to disproportionately affect Southerners, and I question how the government plans to tax informal sectors, such as herdsmen selling cattle in cash. Historically, tax policies in Nigeria have been region-sensitive, with Northern populations often being exempt due to perceived poverty.

The new Tax Acts need to address how they intend to tax Northerners who predominantly prefer cash transactions. As someone who conducts business in Abuja, I can attest that many Hausa traders prefer physical cash over electronic transactions.

Given the current economic climate, it appears that Southerners are bearing the brunt of taxation. As a business owner, I'd rather invest my business income in the capital market and opt for CGT, which aligns with my strategy. This approach would allow me to contribute to the economy while also growing my investments.

Mark this:

Unlike Oando Q1 results
Q2 results will be released early
And it shall be an exciting improvement
Which will usher Oando on a new trajectory

And so shall it be
As this remains planting season
And not yet the period of harvest
For the yield will be bountiful in due season

Enough said!
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mankind2024: 12:52am On Jun 30, 2025
.Oga Agba, no need to worry about CGT just yet. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. By January 2026, we'll have a better understanding of the tax terrain and can adjust our sails accordingly, but for now if you are an investor, not on a payroll, then CGT is the better alternative than PAYE/PIT
