KarlTom:Oando led the board in both activity and volume, moving over ₦20 billion in value which is a massive figure by any standard. The dip does not suggest a panic sell-off...it could be strong interest met with just enough supply to keep the price from rallying. |

Happy new month to my fellow NSEMPA forum investors! I woke up to a new milestone in a new month, both at home and foreign bourses, quicker than I had expected. Thank God for the following NGX listed equities: Cadbury, Honeywell Flour, Ikeja Hotels, Zenith, GTCO, Stanbic, and CWG, and NYSE listed Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, Tesla, Alphabet, Meta, and Amazon. The personal challenge is going well. My portfolios are obeying the law of stacking and compounding. I'd rather be a dollar millionaire than paying Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Personal Income Tax (PIT) in a corrupt entity that cannot account for the wealth of our nation. Thank God for the inspiration to embark on this Magnificent 7 stocks marathon. So far, foreign stock investment has taught me that applying the basic rules of investment, as taught by the legends, can indeed be rewarding. Two years ago, my portfolio was in the red; a year ago, it wasn't showing the compounding power of the Magnificent 7 stocks. Today, I've breached the $170K milestone with little top-up in the month of July. I'm sharing this with discerning self investors who would like to embrace the habit of buying fundamentally sound stocks with the intent of holding forever. Ignore the noise and trends. Top up your diversified portfolio and let the winners sort themselves out. So far, 90% of my portfolios are winning, while the remaining 10% are potential winners. I know the red days will come, hence I'm not lost in the euphoria of the green days. The last red days in NYSE bourse were during the No. 47 induced trade war 2; my Magnificent 7 stocks portfolio lost $21K, but in less than two weeks, the bear was effectively buried by the Magnificent 7. The marathon continues. May God bless our hustling, and may we reap the dividends and compounding proceeds of our investments. May we not be victims of FIRS undertaker, aka Nigerian Revenue Soldiers (NRS). Happy investing✔️➡️🫡 |

The Federal Government of Nigeria kept to its promise that there would be a new undertaker in the country(NRS). The undertaker was proposed to take the wealth of the rich for the poor. In the whole universe, the rich are not known to be victims of tax undertakers. They devise several legal means of rendering the tax undertakers powerless; in the end, the poor are the real victims of tax undertakers(NRS) What NSEMPA forum investors must do to render the new undertaker(NRS) a toothless bulldog: 1. Be a sole proprietor; register your business. 2. Borrow to invest; use your portfolio as collateral at a great bargain. No one pays tax on borrowed funds. 3. As the CEO (the Tony Elumelu of your company), the business takes care of you and your family's day-to-day expenditures, including business retreats to Rwanda and London. Same way our resources take care of the politicians and all goverment workers. 4. Any good thing you see in any well-furnished bank or government office also qualifies to be in your business office and home by virtue of being a director. 5. Consider an offshore current account in the Isle of Jersey for a family investment corporation; this would grant you access to all the free brokers in the US. An alternative to this is citizenship by investment in selected overseas countries. This would counter their Panama choice, since Nigerian pastors and politicians and Panama are numbers 5, 6, and 7. 6. As a director, all your family members' responsibilities and those over 18 years are qualified for non-taxable minimum wage. 7. A company accountant or bookkeeper is necessary for documenting all expenditures. 8. A small room in your house is needed for the purpose of transferring all domestic expenditures to the registered business. As a matter of fact, the registered business address should be your house. No more electricity bills, petrol, or diesel for running generators from your pocket. 9. At the end of the day, the new tax undertaker(NRS) would need to refund you year in and year out since you are only expected to pay tax after profit. Directors earn zero salary; only non-taxable allowances. 10. Finally, year 1: capital loss; year 2: VAT refunds from all brokerage commissions, purchases and bank charges. Yes, here we come. The undertaker is effectively buried.☠️💀😵 |

Yes. This was the problem. They spoke in absolute certainty like they had access to some water tight info. This is not good at all and I think, for the sake of integrity, no one should deploy such method for popularizing any stock. If you have to market any stock, let people know what informs your confidence in such stocks. It is not good enough to deploy any deceptive tactics unless they were deceived themselves. leo1234: |

I find it amusing that you chose not to be smart and be tax-efficient. NNPC Ltd staff just left for a retreat in Rwanda a few days ago; now you're telling me not to retreat to London in December 2025 with the proceeds of my labor? Good luck to you. I am tax-efficient. I do not evade tax. Tax evasion is a crime. Tax efficiency is rewarded by governments all over the world via refunds. pluto09: |

INVESTING ESSENTIALS Key Factors to Consider When Selecting Stocks for Investment March 22, 2024 Introduction: Diving into the world of stocks can feel like embarking on a thrilling adventure, but it’s not all about the rush. Success in equities trading requires more than just blind excitement; it demands careful strategy and calculated moves. Before you take the plunge, arm yourself with the knowledge of what truly matters when choosing your investments. Understand the Fundamentals Before investing in any stock, it’s essential to understand the fundamentals of the company. This includes evaluating factors such as revenue, earnings, growth potential, competitive advantage, and management team. By conducting thorough research and analysis, investors can gain insight into the company’s financial health and prospects for future growth. Check for Dividend-Paying Stocks Dividend-paying stocks can provide investors with a steady stream of income in addition to potential capital appreciation. When selecting stocks to invest in, consider companies that have a history of paying consistent dividends and have the potential to increase dividend payouts over time. Dividend-paying stocks can be particularly attractive for income-focused investors seeking reliable returns. Evaluate Long-Term Profitability Investors should focus on companies with a track record of long-term profitability and sustainable business models. Look for companies that demonstrate consistent earnings growth, strong cash flow generation, and solid return on equity. Companies with a history of profitability are more likely to withstand economic downturns and generate attractive returns for shareholders over the long term. Research the Stock Market and Companies on the NGX Before making investment decisions, it’s essential to stay informed about the stock market and individual companies. Take advantage of resources available on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), such as market data, company financials, analyst reports, and news updates. By staying informed about market trends and company developments, investors can make more informed investment decisions.
