What you posted was 2024 year end
"For the nine months ended 30 April 2025, Ellah Lakes Plc reported revenue of ₦87.95 million, compared to ₦0.42 million in the same period of the prior year". from little sales of agricultural products
This is a very poor earning! shocked

Ella Lakes is just 5 years old under this new management, a year plus of which was under Covid. The old Ella was insolvent till taken over by young brains that share the belief that something good could come out of Nigeria. These brilliant ones should be celebrated. Had it not been for this lifeline, those who had invested in the company would have lost all. Chuka Mordi has all it takes to turn Ella Lakes into the pride of Nigerians. I only wish he would be less economical with information. NIGERIA can be better. N250 billion will not only lift Ella Lakes but lift Nigeria if used to develop the land banks and their special agric processing zones. It's a noble project. May she succeed with all our support.

From our National Anthem….

O God of all creation,
Grant this our one request,
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.

Amen.
Leave this hope anthem when corruption is the order of the day.
I know about the take over in 2019.
I want answer on why telluria farm Ltd which was doing well, making revenue and was already producing FFB before joining ellahlakes stopped producing revenue after the take over. The records showed that telluria already had matured palm farm. I know ellahlakes was an insolvent fish farm.

Thrn on another note you said you buy strategy in the past has always related to eps multiple by 4 x4.why is it not being the case for ellahlakes. Abi the it is reserved for only some company. You do call it common sense strategy. Have the strategy been dustbined so that we know now. This could help us understand the word prejudice better in relation to common sense strategy

Copied:

Why Did C&I Leasing’s Share Price Crash From ₦5.50 to ₦4.26 After Q1?

Simple Answer:
The market misread the Q1 results, fixating on the PAT line without digging deeper.

What Happened: A Reconstruction
| Metric (Q1 2025) | Value | Market Reaction |
|----------------------|-----------|---------------------|
| Revenue | ₦9.17B | Healthy |
| Gross Profit | ₦4.92B | Solid |
| PAT | ₦433M | "Too low?" |
| EPS | ₦0.15 | "Looked weak" |
| Depreciation | ₦2.08B (₦500M YoY increase) | Not understood |
| OCI | ₦21–₦28B | Ignored entirely |

Market’s Take:
Saw flat PAT and low EPS. Conclusion: "Growth is stalling. Dump it."What the Market Missed: Depreciation jumped ₦500M, suppressing reported profit. Operating income was stronger YoY. MV Bello (vessel) likely not yet factored in, signaling future upside. No fundamental deterioration—purely accounting timing.

Bottom Line:
The market’s reaction was emotional, not rational. It punished C&I Leasing for conservative, IFRS-compliant reporting, not for broken fundamentals.
To me,this is a poor result!

Earning per share is supposed to be more than 50 Kobo.

You have not come to terms with the cost of doing business since the "subsidy is gone" statement and free floating of naira. See you at DD.
Subsidy removal shouldn't be an excuse not to optimize/reduce cost of doing business.

A company was making revenue and as a limited company owned by Mordi. The company was making revenue from FFB because they had some matured palm farm. They had no processing mill.
Then why did it stop producing revenue even if snake has been swallowing it to declare loss at thr end when it became listed company on ngx.
What type of accounting system did they adopt. Did the trees stop producing fruits for sale
It was because of quality business ,revenue and profits that 1.88 billion shares was created for the mordi in exchange for his farm as ellahlakes had only 1.22 million shares before the take over.
I am not interested if the share price turns to transcorp hotel shares.
How then do you trust this management with 250 billion even as they say he had bad records in dicon salt

Nigeria eyes green mobility future as Senate adopts Kalu’s EV bill
By : Kehinde Olatunji
Date: 1 Jul 2025

The Nigerian Senate has taken a significant step towards promoting green mobility and local manufacturing with the adoption of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s Electric Vehicle Transition and Green Mobility Bill, 2025.

The bill, which passed its first reading on Tuesday, seeks to establish a comprehensive framework for Nigeria’s transition to electric vehicles (EVs).

According to Senator Kalu, the proposed legislation is designed to position Nigeria as a regional leader in clean energy transportation while boosting industrial capacity.

Details of the Bill made available to Journalists revealed that it is not just about reducing carbon emissions; it is about creating thousands of jobs, driving local innovation, and ensuring that Nigeria does not lag in the global shift towards electric mobility.

Which hybrid of palm trees will start bringing revenues in 3 years? I would like someone to help me to make it make sense.

I have gone through the process and by 3rd year I thought I have finally been trapped by my village people. Thereafter even the first fruiting was only fit as poultry feeds.

The way we seat in the comfy of our offices and keyboards to write off the honest sweat, efforts, anguish and sleepless nights of others is nauseating. With the ignorance we display as knowledge on this faceless forum, little wonder we are where we are at this moment as a people.

Constructive criticism is fine. To be skeptical is natural but the window of DD is always open to those who are genuinely interested in knowing the fact.

We should endeavour to be what we look for in others rather than always being in the vanguard of disparaging and running down the endeavours of people struggling to make an impact.

You are confused. Why mention me instead of the guy I was responding to? Before you mention people, check the previous exchanges please. I support Ellah
Modified: the man who doesn't believe in Ellah also has a right to his opinion. You can not force your opinion down people's throats and attack them because they disagree with you. That's bad behaviour and a sign of intolerance to dissenting opinion.

Without holding court for Mordi, and without claiming this is the case with Elijah Lake, what I know as a general rule is that every biological assets have a life span and their productivity is also a function of the assets in question.

Every valid concern should be to the benefits of the company concerned

By this notice, they will not be doing any PO or RI on the NSE to meet the new N500billion CBN requirement.
That's good for free-float on the NSE. But I am thinking dual listing could see less fx inflow into their Nigerian shares and foreign currencies will remain in LONDON due to Naira stability issues

You see the problem with many is when one says something we just begin to criticise without doing basic findings. The search machines are available.
The records says telluria farm limited was a palm farm with some matured palm producing fruits. It may not be to commercial level. They whr selling it to generate revenue. The farm size was 2400 hectares and they have added 200 hectares cultivated of more palm. This is why 1.88 billion shares was created for it Do you think thr was no valuation for such os when ellahlakes was just 122 million os.From 2019/2025 is 5 yrs already for ellahlakes take over. Thn what about the years before they joined together that the fruits had been cultivated. Or you have information saying the cultivated area was only after take over.It takes 4/5 yrs for modern species of fruits to start giving good fruits.
Abeg I talk about every stock the way I see it even if I dey inside
I have done it in aiico, Japaul, sugar, oando,IB FMN so it is not only ellahlakes. I said it in sugar even as thr merger would have favoured me.i said it IB and offered my RI
here which I have big stake.
I have not sold my sugar even as I have paper loss over 100 million as per failed merger.
I was shouting it here that alhaji wanted to scam us with rice. That rice did not exist then.

Perfect. Your criteria, I deeply respect. But you are looking at a heavily undervalued business. Just dig deeper when you have more time. Look at the assets increase. Think of what will happen after FY'25 audited results. You may not find this stock to buy again below N10 ( Very conservative figure).
The economy has shifted structurally. CI is in for a huge loot! grin

I made the assertion from a business point of view.

A good manager is supposed to maximize profit, there shouldn't be any excuse for poor performance.
