The float doesn't make the stock a jijo candidate. Infact, for this stock I am not thinking in quarters but in decades.

If I am able to buy more tomorrow, even if I couldn't get the quantity I can afford, I will drop more hints (I will not name names) and my investment thesis.
My definition of jijo is different from traders own here.
My idea is if I see 50% and above I could sell to buy another stock that I feel can give such.It is not about trading evertime for 20%.
I hardly sell my investment stock unless the fundamentals begin to give consumers. I will rather add what my cash can buy when thr is serious pull backs
The S stock I had in mind has little free float and illiquid. So I knew I could make 50% and above at the price I saw it before it moved.
It is always on bid but no offer

Nigerian mobile-based digital bank, Sparkle, is eyeing listing its shares on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited.

Sparkle, founded by a former chief executive of the defunct Diamond Bank Plc, Mr Uzoma Dozie, provides financial, lifestyle, and business support services to Nigerians.

Diamond Bank used to trade its securities on the stock exchange until it was absolved into Access Bank Plc in 2019, which later left the NGX to NASD OTC Securities Exchange. Access Bank is now a subsidiary of Access Holdings, which is now on the NGX.

According to Business Day, Sparkle, established in 2020, has not disclosed the volume of shares and the price it would list on the NGX, but it was reported that the stock exchange is ready to welcome Mr Dozie’s firm as a publicly listed company.Business consulting services for small businesses

The NGX listing is expected to position Sparkle as not just a bank but as an ecosystem which blends commerce with convenience, the publication reported.

The plans to list its shares on the Nigerian bourse are in line with the founder’s expansion drive, considering the firm’s last publicly announced raise happened in 2021.

In October 2021, Sparkle announce a $3.1 million seed fundraise from entirely Nigerian investors.

The round, which was oversubscribed according to a statement from the company, was led by Leadway Assurance with the participation of Trium Networks and a number of undisclosed high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) in the country.

The funding at that time brought Sparkle’s total investment secured to $5.1 million, having previously raised $2 million in pre-seed from friends and family.

At that time, Sparkle said it will use the new investment to scale its talent teams across engineering, financial risk, and marketing departments as well as invest in its automated back-end processes and digital infrastructure

Raider76:
Please what is the current position regarding PZ's plans to exit the Nigerian market?
PZ Cussons Nigeria is not exiting the Nigerian market completely, but it has agreed to exit its palm oil venture — PZ Wilmar Limited. Here’s the latest:

---

🟢 Palm Oil JV Exit ✅

In June 2025, PZ Cussons PLC agreed to sell its 50% stake in PZ Wilmar Limited (producer of Mamador & Devon King cooking oils) to its joint venture partner, Wilmar International, for US $70 million (£51 million). This marks their full exit from the palm oil segment in Nigeria. The deal is subject to regulatory approval and expected to complete by the end of Q4 2025 .

---

🟡 Broader Market Presence

The company’s broader consumer goods operations—such as toothpaste, bath soap, sanitary products, and more—remain fully intact in Nigeria.

There has been no official announcement regarding a total withdrawal from the Nigerian consumer goods sector. Previous strategic discussions on delisting from the Nigerian Exchange or completely exiting Africa have been shelved or rejected, notably by minority shareholders and regulatory bodies .

Business Area Status

PZ Wilmar (palm oil JV) Exit agreed; 100% owned by Wilmar after sale completes
Consumer products No exit; ongoing operations in soap, skincare, foods, etc.
Delisting share plans Abandoned/rejected after shareholder/regulator pushback

---

🔮 Outlook

Once the PZ Wilmar JV is fully sold, PZ Cussons will still be active in Nigeria—focused on its core personal-care, household, and foodpack divisions.

The parent company continues to monitor macroeconomic risks—including foreign exchange volatility—but has not indicated an intention to fully exit Nigeria.

Stakeholder pressure (from minority shareholders and the SEC) led to halting prior delisting efforts, reinforcing a commitment to remain on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).

---

✔️ PZ is exiting only its palm oil joint venture, not the entire Nigerian market. Their core operations continue, and plans to delist or exit have been shelved.

Who owns the $70m loot from the Palm Oil JV Exit, when completed?

zendi:
Who owns the $70m loot from the Palm Oil JV Exit, when completed?

The Nigerian or Parent Company?
The $70 million from the sale of the 50% stake in PZ Wilmar will go to PZ Cussons Plc, the UK-based parent company—not PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc.

Here’s how it breaks down:

PZ Cussons Plc (listed in London) sells its 50% equity in the PZ Wilmar joint venture to Wilmar International for US $70 million .

The cash proceeds accrue to PZ Cussons Plc, which intends to use the net amount (approximately US $64 million after taxes and fees) to reduce debt and streamline its operations .

PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a Nigerian subsidiary focused on soaps, detergents, baby, hygiene, and beauty products, does not hold any stake in PZ Wilmar. Its operations and ownership are therefore unaffected by this transaction .

So to clarify: the $70 million goes to PZ Cussons Plc, not to PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc.

In personal finance, reaching the first $100,000 (approximately N150 million) is often considered a significant milestone.
