UNIVINSURE looks undervalued with improving earnings and strong balance sheet metrics. The recent earnings jump and favorable technicals suggest upside potential

Sterling is delivering on its “purpose-driven banking” strategy — delivering strong earnings with meaningful social initiatives. The Q1 results reinforce its position among Nigeria’s leading mid-tier banks. The upcoming audited financials will be pivotal for confirming sustainability and validating management’s strategy.

Omatek Ventures Plc remains a trailblazer in Nigeria’s ICT sector, with a legacy of innovation and a diversified product portfolio.

John Holt remains a classic “asset-light but opportunity-heavy” industrial conglomerate. Its value is underpinned by tangible assets and a diversified business, but the current earnings gap and working capital strain pose serious near-term risks. Recovery depends heavily on operational reboot in its core leasing business, prudent financial management, and improved macro stability.

SohSoh:
I want to get this off my mind…to some extent a lot of you on this forum are hypocrites.

Few weeks ago I wrote a buy recommendation for MECURE as a better BUY than FIDSON AND NEIMETH as of that time

and shared it here the same way Loco does and a vast majority of the people here shut it down and said Fidson was a better option and went and pushed the price of FIDSON up Price above MECURE, if that was to taunt me, I don’t care

Few days back i saw a lot of you are now recommending NEIMETH the books ain’t good.

So I came to the conclusion that a lot of you here are institutional traders and not retail traders like ME…

Cos a lot of the information LOCO shares are not easily available on the internet
And was already posting about EllahLakes long before the CEO did that interview… just be careful cos it looks a lot like insider trading and the ship post about C&I Leasing that also is not available to retail investors or traders like me self.

Why I’m writing all thesehuh? is because if you guys here were, welcoming maybe I would have tried more to share some of my trade ideas because when I buy a stock I don’t come here to try and promote it for it too move

Now this is my trade over the last 3 months… (PICTURE ATTACHED)

While LOCO is only promoting Champion, C&I Leasing, EllahLakes : by my calculations: LOCO has made 495% profit increase in his trade with these 3 stocks with a lot of promotion

And
ME : 531% ( picture attached my BUY prices)

I didn't include Champion cos I brought Champion long before he started promoting it here

And there are stocks I brought that gave me 15-20% ( like AIICO, Aradel and Legend internet)

So my 530% should be close to 600-700%

No Promotion just Good Trading!!

Drops Mic !!
SpaceX Alert !

grin

Impressive result! I wonder how long it took you to attain this.
By the way, this is a faceless forum and there's no need to get soh emotional (unless maybe if you're 'touchy').
No one is obliged to give or take investment advice.
Know this and know peace or no peace grin
Exactly 💯

No sir!

I meant I sold at maximum price (+10%) yesterday... smiley

emmaodet:
Just 10% gain? is that not too small?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 8:59am On Jul 09, 2025
I plan to jump in after the dip... grin
aj8:
Still a lot more upside for Cadbury, KarlTom. May be tough getting back in at a lower price unless Q2 disappoints.

Top up makes better sense if the price is reducing and the particular stocks is becoming cheaper, so that your average cost price per unit will be less and your percentage gain will be higher.
If the price is increasing, then top up would increase your average cost price per unit and your percentage gain will be lower.
J think this works if the funds come in one swoop. If one is dedicated in buying a stock every month for instance, though the average percent return will be lower for an increasing stock, but each set of the bought stock retains their respective percent gain.

Is that correct?
For instance if i bought Ellah at the following prices over the last 2 months...

At 4 naira
At 5 naira
At 6 naira
At 8 naira

And sell all at 11naira.

I will be making gains of 7, 6,5 and 3 naira respectively if i didnt have the bulk money to buy at 4 naira or wait till 6 naira to buy.

So the question basically is does it make investment sense to keep topping up in a bullish market and hope to exit at a comfortable price?

Why is no one talking about GTHC getting listed on LSE
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ceelog(m): 9:57am On Jul 09, 2025
mikeapollo:
Yes. You will still make profit but your percentage gain will be less but it is still better than not making any profit.
Ok noted

My own approach is, using Neimeth, bought 200,000 units, for example, sell 100,000 units at around 170% gain and abandon the remaining 100,000 units to do whatever. Move the proceeds to a new ticker. Rinse and repeat.

Na wa oh. But I have one question.
If I join now, will you people give me 100% by month end?
I no dey ask for too much.
I am looking for where to reinvest what is remaining of my Cadbury change.
Cadbury is still an option for me though, I only need to see how far profit takers can take it. If I see Cadbury at 20% less of today's opening, I go buy small

Averaging up can be smart, but only if your investment thesis still holds and you're not blindly buying into a bubble. Always weigh the potential upside against the rising cost.
