Here's hoping Caverton will continue to improve in it's results.. q1 was over N1b profit compared to loss of q1 2024 and 2024 generally.. here's hoping q2 2025 will be better.. below gives hope that the future is bright.. I entered the bus at N5.75

Panos Gliatis, Managing Director of NNPC Shipping, described the partnership as a significant advancement in enhancing Nigeria’s maritime industry. “By joining forces with Stena Bulk and Caverton Marine, we are building a strong platform that will improve our refining, import, and export operations while strengthening Nigeria’s role in global energy logistics,” he said.

Erik Hånell, President & CEO of Stena Bulk, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating: “This partnership is a perfect fit for our strategy to grow in key markets while maintaining high operational standards. Nigeria’s energy sector is evolving, and we’re proud to contribute to this progress.”

Johan Jäwert, Head of Stena Bulk USA, emphasised the value of combining global expertise with local knowledge. “With Caverton’s strong local presence and NNPC’s market leadership, we will create a world-class shipping company to serve the energy industry,” he said.

Bode Makanjuola, CEO of Caverton Offshore Support Group, highlighted the significance of the deal: “This joint venture is the result of years of planning. By blending local experience with global best practices, we are setting up an operation that will benefit not just Nigeria but the entire Sub-Saharan Africa region.”

This partnership comes at a time when Nigeria is reinforcing its position as Africa’s largest economy. With a strategic location, a growing population, and ongoing infrastructure development, the country is opening new opportunities in the maritime sector.

By launching this new tanker operation, NNPC, Stena Bulk, and Caverton are not only solving immediate transportation needs but also contributing to Nigeria’s long-term economic growth and diversification.

CAVERTON stand a better chance than the rest in that sector if everything materialize. Caverton is also in partnership with Nigeria Navy to use their dockyard for boat construction and also with ExploMar to electrify their their outboard engine. I believe in near future they should be talking about having their own shipyard to compete with Nigerdock and West Atlantic Shipyard.

You know I actually had similar thoughts, but the difference is that maybe he still left some...

The time Q1 was released and people started panicking and saying the result was bad, I felt Loco may have sold too.......based on few comments he made then 😁
