Taking profit no get head nah.
2 of 3 days pullback,the journey to N20 continues.

People were taking profit in champion when it got to N6 and after some days it begins it's northern journey

No need for profit taking in Ellah
Loco has spoken grin

I think Transcorp has fulfilled its bull run.
Time will tell. The fear of stagnant stock when things moving is the beginning of wisdom. See ngx today mooning hard buy was stagnant around 25 naira for very long time same happening with Trascorp

Honestly, there are some stocks that shouldn't be promoted to the general public. VFD is one such.

It's like a hybrid between private-equity firm and a merchant bank. They have some glitzy marketing, but I guarantee that 99% of people here can't properly value this stock: Most people don't have comfort with concepts like "expected credit losses" and "impairment of goodwill," which are key to the value of VFD.

Leave this one to the investment pros. Simpler ways to make money and sleep well.
@HeInMe. Yes, God is in you. So, selfishness cannot be in you. Your are delivered from it! grin grin

Hi everyone, I am new to investment. I came across this post while researching which stock is a good buy at the moment. Are there any stock recommendations, as I couldn't read the whole 9k-plus posts? I would appreciate a response. Thank you.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by HesInMe: 12:36pm On Jul 11, 2025
Selfish ke? I don't own VFD. I wouldn't recommend it to my mother. That doesn't mean it's not a good investment o. Just know your level.

Just wanted to understand the hypothetical 100k USD as it applies to Nigeria, what is the threshold for the average Nigerian to break that barrier...would you say 10 million or same 100k USD applies here too.
Think depends on your target. From that $100,000 you'll obviously have another target.. if your next target is N500m you can adopt the $100,000 equivalent in naira which is like N150m and grow it from there. No go kill yourself o. Methinks you should start with lower targets and keep compounding and growing. Determine the target which when attained, you can start taking small small profits.. develop your own strategy.. you can break your major target to mini targets and celebrate each milestone.. my thoughts

It is better you develop interest and find time to read. It will help you much better than relying solely on recommendations by others. There are several recommendations in the last few days on this thread.
Even if people recommend stocks to you, you should still put in the effort and read about the companies, their recent audited accounts, sector/industry news, govt policies affecting them, competitors in the sector etc.
Some guys do a lot of research/reading before they are able to discover/recommend good stocks

Experts, over to you...... waiting for your recommendations

Guilty as charged.

Pessimists are good investors na. We have a good BS detector. In a bull market, everyone and their mother are sharp money-doublers. It's when the market pulls back violently that we see whose yansh dey exposed.

Happy hunting!

If you refuse to buy Ellahlakes now, you will surely struggle to buy at N50.

What is it about before break (12noon) and after break on this ngx.
People sometimes do make 15% of their equity in a day at buy position.

The great seers and experienced Agbas here, please is there something about this timing one should learn?

The same will probably take effect in Zenith Bank, ACCESSCORP,UBA and Fidelity Bank.

I'm not sure of FIRSTHOLDCO because it's been gereguralized grin

With these back-to-back 10% appreciation, its becoming harder to take profit. To take profit is it not to sell shares? If the shares remain?

The marketers and promoters of very low quality stocks are always in the habit of casting aspersions and name calling. wink

They have lost their conscience because of the allure of filthy lucre!

Newbies like myself should always invest in companies with the best intrinsic value. cool
