I Regret Attending The University Of Benin by ChildOfDoom(op):
UNIBEN, the dream of every South South indigen, was the school I attended, after attending a big boarding school. All for what?

I should have learnt a trade with the time and resources wasted.

During the rough years in UNIBEN, I had to do side hustle to see that I passed successfully. I had a sharp 2.1 from my department. All wasted now

UNIBEN is to be partly blamed for my misfortune too. It was there I learnt about bet9ja that destroyed my life for ten years. No thanks to mischievous students always talking about it. From constant patronising of bet shops, I got to learn about womanising to clear my head or frustration. This always made me broke. Then I learnt about online loan apps to feed my addictions. This was the height of it all. A good devout Catholic like me slowly turned bad. Thank God I didn't add drugs to it. I would have run mad by now

I shuttled between Sapele, Benin, Ughelli, Asaba etc to see to it that I secured a white-collar job that paid 6 digits. Interviews, screening, medicals, documentation etc. All in vain now

My addiction to betting, womanising and borrowing has finished me. Now hiding 'in a hole' avoiding creditors, torture or jail time as I reminisce on the good old days.

My C.V is messed up and my reputation gone. My result is now in vain as I won't get recommendations from my past employer.

Hmm. Over 2 million spent in UNIBEN (on feeding, books, fees, accommodation etc) in vain. I am no different from a primary school drop out now.

My good diction also in vain. Only internet fraud seems available now

Have you find out from other students of the same uniben you studied if their life are like yours? I don't think, you have failed to plan.

UniBen did its best. Have you looked inwards? Are there people doing legitimate jobs who graduated from the same UniBen? There you have it!

No one forced you to bet or become a womanizer. There are vices everywhere. If you japa self, you go see the same thing. You best bet is to relocate to Afghanistan where gambling and womanizing is forbidden

There are others hustling jobs you can do to make end meet rather than destroying yourself from betting. It's not late you can still adjust and be successful in life.

Until we learn to stop blaming others and accept that we are the author of our situation, we won't learn how to solve it.

Regardless of where you went, your life would have spiralled out of control so it's nothing to do with My UNIBEN.

You got out of life what you put in, no one forced you.

Some people went through what you are going through and they came out of it strong with testimonies. I know of someone who became so depressed and was about plunging into lagoon. God saved him somehow and he surrendered to Jesus. Today, the man is doing really well with a wife, kids and he has been a blessing to many people. Your problem is that you fail to accept that you need God in your life. You enjoy writing epistles of lamentations and not taking advice. Devil enjoys what you do and he rejoices because you just refuse to be wise and surrender to Jesus.
Therapy won't save you. You need to go for deliverance after you surrender to Jesus. Only then your life can begin to have meaning.

You write well and effortlessly.
Since your life has a lot of events, stories and things people could learn from, why not start writing a book about your life , the failures, regrets, the good times, the struggle and all. Trust me there are millions of people in your situation, and there are people the book can also safe by educating them early in life. The book csn be something great that will come out from you . Hosting it on Amazon and other book sale site is quite easy these days and the passive income might help

His problem is spiritual. Someone who is walking in a bank before lost his job to vices such as betting, womanizing, borrowing from loan Apps etcetera. He needs Jesus to break the yoke of these addiction. He needs to give his life to Jesus and true repentance and goes for deliverance from a Bible believing Church.

It is only after deliverance that he will be free and have headway in whatever he lay his hands on. Note well, the enemies are not far from him watching his next move. So, it is better for him to seek solace and help from his maker to overcome the invisible hands troubling his life. Jesus is the only way out.

But yourself!

That's what failures do!
